If "Harry Potter" was woke.

If Harry Potter were reimagined with modern "woke" themes, it would likely focus on inclusivity, social justice, and more diverse representation of characters and their experiences. Here’s how such a version might unfold:

1. More Diverse Cast:

  • The core trio (Harry, Hermione, and Ron) could reflect a wider range of ethnic backgrounds, possibly including non-white characters in the lead roles.
  • Hogwarts would emphasize its diversity in student body, staff, and magical creatures, representing a broader spectrum of races, ethnicities, gender identities, and abilities.

2. Deconstructing Pure-Blood Superiority:

  • The pure-blood supremacy ideology, represented by characters like Draco Malfoy and the Death Eaters, would be a clear metaphor for systemic racism, privilege, and class oppression. The narrative could dig deeper into dismantling these structures, portraying a more intersectional struggle against injustice.

3. Hermione’s Activism Elevated:

  • Hermione's S.P.E.W. (Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare) campaign would take on a more central role, expanding beyond house-elves to address broader issues of oppression and marginalization in the wizarding world, including issues like magical creature rights, gender equity, and environmentalism.

4. LGBTQ+ Representation:

  • There would likely be openly LGBTQ+ characters, including representation within the main cast. For example, Dumbledore's sexuality, which was only confirmed by J.K. Rowling after the series ended, would be addressed openly in the narrative.
  • Relationships among secondary characters could feature non-heteronormative love stories, and Hogwarts itself might celebrate Pride events or establish support groups for LGBTQ+ students.

5. Non-Binary and Gender Non-Conforming Characters:

  • The magical world might challenge traditional notions of gender, with characters who identify as non-binary or gender fluid using spells, potions, or magical items to express their identities.
  • Hogwarts’ houses or dormitories could be updated to be more inclusive of gender diversity.

6. Rewriting the House System:

  • The house system, often criticised for promoting division, could be reimagined to foster collaboration and solidarity among students of different backgrounds. The competition between houses would shift towards cooperative, community-building activities.

7. Addressing Mental Health:

  • Characters dealing with trauma, anxiety, and mental health issues (like Harry’s PTSD from his encounters with Voldemort) would be given more nuanced attention. Hogwarts might have counselors or mental health professionals available, and there could be a greater emphasis on emotional well-being.

8. Technology in the Wizarding World:

  • There might be more integration of Muggle technology into the wizarding world, representing a breakdown of the elitist separation between magical and non-magical societies. Wizarding education could incorporate subjects like Muggle studies with a progressive lens, bridging the gap between the two worlds.

9. Environmental Consciousness:

  • The series might explore themes of environmental sustainability, with magical creatures like centaurs and merpeople being active voices in protecting nature and fighting against magical industries or practices that harm the environment.

10. Villains Representing Modern Issues:

  • Voldemort and the Death Eaters could embody modern-day issues such as fascism, xenophobia, and nationalism. Their goal would not only be pure-blood supremacy but also the perpetuation of oppressive systems across the wizarding and Muggle worlds.
This version of Harry Potter would likely incorporate social commentary on current cultural, racial, and political issues, using the magical world as a metaphor for real-life challenges of inclusivity and equity.

Well... In 5 years or so, this could potentially be a remake with a new cast promoting this type of bs.

mmmmmhh....

Nice. I hope there are more of these types of clips!

It's not "if". It always has been.
Perhaps. I know christians were/are afraid of watching/reading it, but a "the" pope praised Rowling for good overcoming evil. Then there's that debacle with Rowling saying things online, which I don't know about because I never paid attention to it, but if I am not mistaken was tweeting anti-trans things, or something. Regarding not liking or being afraid of Harry Potter, there's one christian I knew who "coUlDn'T gEt InTo" (read: disliked and was offended by) Stargate because of the non-jewsus-godly things in it; but if he had have waited until the later series of SG-1, he would have known that there is a very christian vibe to it.

Well... In 5 years or so, this could potentially be a remake with a new cast promoting this type of bs.
Before (if) that happens, someone should do a full parody of it, more than just these small video clips!

It's nice to see that there are, as far as I know, 2 of these types of clips. It makes sense that there are more or will be more. It's good to know that there are some people left who are not stupid.

Evangelicals Are Now Rejecting 'Liberal' Teachings of Jesus

archive.is doesn't seem to be working properly.

On a christian website, someone asked whether they, christians, should leave a 'woke' church. That's funny! There are 6 million denominations of christianity to cast as wide a net as possible for catching as many fish sheep as possible, yet a 'woke' denomination of christianity is bad! Like christianity is stolen, twisted, perverted and corrupted from Paganism, except for Friday the 13th and Hallowe'en being the only 2 that frightens christians, lol.

Apparently, "woke" is changing in meaning, and christians should avoid using it. Dissimilation, much?!

PMFL, lol. Regarding wokeness, christians can learn from a former communist. For those who don't know, christianity is the religious version of the political communism...

There are supposed biblical perspectives of being woke. Well... if being "woke" means changing the established reality which exists already and has existed forever in Nature, that which is Natural, then "jesus" is as woke as fuck!

Despite there being biblical perspectives of wokeness, supposedly, being woke is also anti-gospel. It's as if "god" doesn't know how to keep its story straight! (Ignoring all the contradictions in the bibles!)

Furthermore, catholics are supposedly embracing wokeness. The reason is because it's a part of their faith tradition! For those who don't know - catholicism is a denomination of christianity. So christians wonder if christians should leave woke churches, the term is changing in meaning so christians should not use it, but christians should embrace it because it is their faith? Erm... the revised, i.e. not original, edition of the dictionary that is not a wordbook but is a lexicon, anyone?!

The actor who plays Harry is actually jewish.
That, I know...

the author of the book is based and is very against transgenderism and modern LGBT shit.
...but that, I am uncertain about. I know there was something she said in a tweet or something which made everyone online hate her, but I never paid attention to it.

Although the film series was directed by Jews and is full of Jewish actors, the person who created the character of Harry Potter and wrote the books is a gentile.

Unaccetable, hermione should be black and fat, ron chinese, pachock indian. harry is ok, cuz he is jewish, but he should be at least more lgbt vibrant, maybe retard and mostly wear a kippah. Voldemort should have Hitler's mustache, otherwise goym won't understand that he is the enemy.

Slytherin should promote xianism and jezux, oy vey! 👏

0/10 too antisemitic, the author should do a little humiliation ritual for us, hihihihi.

I think that is why Rowling didn't have enough influence to demand that the filmmakers name the Philosopher's Stone correctly, regardless of rEaSoNs for changing its name for idiots.

From what I've been told, the actress who played Hermione in a play was Black, and that seems to be OK because Hermione was never described as being White, Black or Asian in the books. If it turned out that anyone was to play any of the characters differently from the actual descriptions, then that would not be OK, and if they wanted Harry to be impregnated by the ghost of Dobby and also by Ginny at the same time, like in Twins (1988) with DeVito and Schwarzenegger, then that would not be OK... for numerous reasons!
