...and other common myths about Spiritual Satanism.
Hello everyone I felt compelled to write this post because of the many misconceptions i've heard or read about Spiritual Satanism. Which may either cause false expectations among people or have them join for the wrong idea and causing much disappointment. If you are a new person reading this, read on because it will help you choose Spiritual Satanism for the right reasons and give you a true and realistic view.
Myths about SS in general:
Myth #1: Satanism is a totally selfish and materialistic thing
Truth: Totally selfish people who disregard Satan are worthless here, and Satan won't do much for them.
This myth is the basis of most other myths about Spiritual Satanism. Most of the other myths and lies about Spiritual Satanism is based on the idea that the whole thing is about yourself and disregarding everyone else or Satan or just merely using them for your purposes.
While it's true that Spiritual Satanism is about helping yourself evolve and reach Godhood as well as making your life better and being independent, another important point is contributing in our spiritual fight against the enemies, helping the Gentiles awaken from the enemy lies and bringing Satan's new world to earth. Satan Himself is a being who helps those who help him and "suffer for his sake" as the Al-Jilwah says. Of course if you do nothing to Satan and you merely ask for things without giving anything and not contributing or helping others wake up and realize the truth why should he bother with you?
Myth #2: Satanism will bring you instant money, happiness, fix all your problems as well as give you instant spiritual abilities with little work on your part.
Truth: While Spiritual Satanism can and will help you improve your life, it will not come instantly but you need to put work and effort on your part. Also, improving your material life isn't the main purpose here, but a byproduct of your Spiritual Advancement that will come as long as you work to transform your soul to Godhood.
As it's been said in the site, the main purpose of Spiritual Satanism is transforming our soul to Godhood through power meditation and other practices. A person who advances spiritually will have the abilities to use magick to protect himself and improve his life. There's no way though for a person to have all those things instantly, especially if he's not interested in advancing spiritually and he's only in for material things.
I would also like to add that even for advanced people, life is far from Disneyland either. I am a Dedicated SS for many years and I still got an enemy attack yesterday to the point where I was feeling worthless but Satan helped me overcome it and become stronger. Some things that happen to you may be a test of character to show you need to grow and overcome them. This is to show you that if you get enemy attacks this isn't a reason to be scared, but it's a honor to you. The enemy must think you're important otherwise they wouldn't attack you. Those who do nothing rarely get attacked because they aren't a threat to the enemy at all. However these people also get the least help and support from Satan.
Myths about the Dedication Ritual:
Myth #3: The dedication ritual is the same as selling your soul or making a deal with Satan.
Truth: No, it isn't. If you dedicate yourself you won't get any instant money, fame or power (see above). You also don't lose your soul. If you did lose it then it would defeat the entire point of our path, which is unlocking and transforming your soul. Spiritual Satanism is all about transforming the soul and Satan and the Gods are here to help us with that goal. The dedication to Satan is also a personal and spiritual thing and far from a business deal. It's something sacred.
Myth #4: You'll instantly get contacted by Satan or a Demon after you do the dedication ritual.
Truth: While people who have much experience in the occult and awakened their Astral senses or they were born psychic have been contacted by Satan or a Demon after they did the ritual, for many people who are beginners and not particularly psychic this thing doesn't happen. They might get a feeling of acceptance or even nothing in particular. If you are a person who is thinking of doing the dedication ritual I'd suggest you to do without any expectations. The purpose of the dedication ritual isn't to get contacted by any beings, but to affirm your allegiance to Satan.
Myth #5: You have to do the dedication ritual at night
Truth: I'm not even sure where this myth came from because the JoS site doesn't mention anything like that at all. The site doesn't mention a specific time of the day you have to do the ritual. I did mine in the afternoon.
Myths about Hell and the Afterlife:
Myth #6: The purpose of Satanism is to become a Demon after you die.
Truth: Satanism is life-loving. So the main focus isn't what to do after you die, but how to overcome death and reach Godhood and physical immortality. This is also related to another myth that the Gods/Daemons are spirits or spooks with no physical bodies. See below.
Myths about Satan and the Demons:
Myth #7: Demons are spirits/parts of our minds/spooks e.t.c.
Truth: The Demons are extraterrestrial beings with physical bodies living in a star in Orion's belt. They are the so-called "Rebel Nordics" (although some of them are of other species) from Orion.
Myth #8: Satan created the universe, the earth and everything in it.
Truth: Satan is an extraterrestrial being who genetically engineered humanity. He hasn't been for long enough to create everything nor is he a spook in the sky like the christian "god". The JoS site mentions he's over 500 million years old. The earth is 4.5 billion years old. Also in Spiritual Satanism we don't believe in christian-style creationism. There's no such thing as a being who created everything. The universe always existed by itself.
Myths about Meditation:
Myth #9: In visualization you have to see something with your physical eyes.
Truth: Visualization is mental vision. If you can recall the color of your mothers eyes or how a cat looks like then you can visualize. Most people create mental images all the time in their mind. When you visualize you may see just darkness with your eyes closed, but you "see" things with your mind. The purpose of the visualization training in JoS is not to teach you how to visualize, because you can already do that. It's to have you hold the image longer and in a controlled way. Most people can visualize, but they can't control it much and their images usually fade out after a few seconds.
Myth #10: The most important chakra is the Third eye and one must focus on it and ignore the other chakras.
Truth: The third eye is nothing more than the front extension of the 6th chakra which is located in the center of your head. It's not a main chakra, but a chakra extension. A person should empower all his chakras because focusing on one and disregarding others creates an imbalance on the soul.
