What is the point of smoking?

What is the point of asking what is good about smoking? There is nothing good about it and no reason for it.

I wanted to analyse this product and see what it is and whether it is worth consuming.

A merchant once told me. Do you smoke? I said, no. And then he told me, good, don't smoke. Only bad things have this.

I appreciate all your invaluable help that you offer on this forum, but this might be one of those rare cases where you are wrong.

First, just because nicotine’s addictive potential is right up there with heroin according to some studies, that doesn’t mean withdrawal symptoms are the same, those are two different things. Not every addiction ends up in making the person in question sick. Some just cause mental torment, others cause both mental and physical effects.

I take it you haven’t lit a cigarette in your life (which is in fact good thing). You have no idea what smoking cessation feels like. If it was just mental and made up, it wouldn’t be so hard to quit for many.

“Just toss cigarettes into the trash” might work for some (like it did in my case), but it only worked because I somehow mustered insane amount of mental strength to not light up again for weeks. And when I say insane amounts, I mean it. I was able to give up sweets for example with not much trouble, as for cigarettes, it was a nightmare.

I have no idea why are you minimizing or straight denying nicotine’s mechanism of action. Maybe you think if you tell people “it’s all in your mind” it will make them somehow easier to quit. Fine, I can go with that, but I’m still not sure whether facing the truth or sugarcoating things will make giving up easier or harder.

Do you know what happens with cigarettes? It creates a biochemical bond and a habit or mental programming. However, the strongest thing is your desire from which this begins.

People who don't stop smoking it's not that they can't but they don't want to because they like it. You can quit if you want to.

Self-hypnosis can also work perfectly well, not in a light but deep trance state. It is difficult to enter a deep trance state; it requires strong concentration, a good level of mental and physical relaxation, and well-developed psychic senses to imagine the sense of falling as vividly as possible. This is what I have understood from studying the knowledge and instruction that HPS Maxine has provided on hypnosis here in the JoS.

Do not allow anyone other than yourself to hypnotise you, because you must never trust anyone blindly.

It is not worth consuming. The damage that it would cause to your lungs from years of cigarettes is probably the single most painful and horrible way to die.

Something about addictions: It also has to do with the individual's chakras. Different drugs, including alcohol and smoking, have to do with different chakras. Which is why some people can do heroin (as an example) without becoming addicted, whereas someone else becomes addicted to it from the very first time.

So some people can give up smoking with very little effort and it really is just the habit of it that needs to be changed, yet some people have an extremely difficult time giving it up, if they even are able to quit.

It very much has to do with the chakra that relates to the drug of the individual, if it is dirty or malfunctioning in any way. And if the Solar chakra is weak, as it rules will power, which is needed to quit bad habits.

I tried it a few times but it never stuck.
I don't understand what you want to tell me. Would you please clarify?
I was answering your question about weather or not I smoked and I said that I tried it a few time but it never became a habit.

I quit a while ago and I don't want to smoke any more.

I have never smoked, but I would like to know what I could do to get a relative who is important to me to stop smoking, he is an elderly person who has smoked for years and does it because he likes it, what work could I do to get him to stop doing forever?

All right, I understand, thank you. Good for you. Love yourself, don't hurt yourself.

I think you can do something with magic, like binding him or something else. There's an interesting thing but I can't remember if it was in the meditations or magic section. It's an advanced type of influence. It consists of summoning the light body of the person you want to influence and giving them orders and then telling them to forget the speech but obey the orders.

I have been trying for some time now to program his aura while he sleeps, so far I haven't seen any results but I will keep insisting.

There is alot of programming and brainwashing to undo. Cleaning would enhance the process.

Sorry for the late reply, I was traveling. Moving forward you will make it sooner or later.

Also Larissa, not an insult, but I find that people who smoke are extremely gross, they literally smell. I can't ever forget the taste when I kissed a woman smoker.
:puke: :puke: :puke:

They do. When did I deny that? Don’t ever get the crazy idea that I am defending or even encouraging smoking. Far from that. This is not something that I am proud of about my past.

You are mistaken. I am a former smoker and I know how it is. It really is in your mind.
I am too, and I agree. It's mostly a habit, nicotine withdrawal is not that bad.

Larissa, you've been an SS for how long? There is really no justification for not quitting smoking.

No offense, what part of “former” did you not understand?

I actually can't see the point you're trying to make.

The point is she said she used to smoke years ago, and it looks like you think she still does.

well, paraphrasing she said:
"(you say it’s bad for me? Thanks, just bought a pack)"

If what you say is right, then that was just a joke, but it didn't seem like it.

Yes, that’s how I was as a teen. Very rebellious and very contrarian.

Maybe you should read that entire post and read that one again in the context of it instead.

Apologies then.

I smoke because cigarettes help ease migraines and other things for a while. I understand that cigarettes are harmful and for other reasons I wouldn't smoke them and I will quit when I find better medication. Such cases are few and far between, and it turns out that for me cigarettes are like medicine, which relieves suffering for a while.

Accepted.

Glad this has been resolved

If current advances in the biochemical branch of medicine cannot help you heal, advance spiritually and try healing using energy. I wish you healing.
