For those who don't know, a symbol very similar to the Triskelion is the central focus in the flag of Sicily:

I knew that the symbol, which we Italians call "Trinacria", had Ancient origins but I didn't expect it could be so important.

Obviously, if you look into other mainstream sources they give this symbol a whole different and more materialistic meaning.
Supposedly, the head is Medusa's, and the wheat was added in Roman times to simbolyze Sicily's fertility as a huge source of wheat for the Roman Empire.

I also just now notice the lack of wings at the feet, which basically removes the Hermes symbolism.

Just thought it was interesting to point out.

The new update was wonderful. I, too, always thought the swastika was a simple reference to the solar chakra which is the seat of immortality. Instead, the swastika is such an important symbol of the creative power of Zeus as the authoritative source of universal functioning. And this confirms the way I have always understood Nazism: that is, the correct way to make the universe go. As if it were the means by which Satya who is the Truth about what the good of the universe is, could use to express and manifest itself. A wonderful update.

The Isle of Man too has a Triskelion-like symbol.
