Serious question about Christians...

With the exception of very few people that I've met (and they are *extremely* rare and are my close friends for a reason), why are Christians such absolute morons? Seriously. What the fuck. You literally don't even need to go to some church to see it for yourself. If you just go to a Christian forum and talk to these people, you'll very soon realize their intelligence levels are insanely, *insanely* low.

I have one explanation: Their religious book is nothing but simplistic tales for 5 year olds. It offers no deeper philosophical insights or complex theology. So when your mental diet consists of believing that the world was created in 7 days or the first woman was created from the first man or that Jesus was born from a literal virgin and the rainbow exists because of God's promise to Noah, it's almost sure that you will not be able to form complex thoughts because your mental level will be as a 5 year old's for your entire life.

That's why the famous Catholic theologians like Augustine and Thomas Aquinas mixed Greek philosophy with Christianity to create their theology and ethical philosophy. They were more Platonic/Aristotelian than Christian. Those Christians who study them are more intelligent than average Christians, but those Bible thumpers who insist on reading only the Bible and nothing else are often absolute morons.

Oh my Lord. And many Christians were extremely insistent that I only focus on reading the Bible and that injecting Greek philosophy in the Bible was a terrible idea. I literally had a Christian tell me that Aquinas was "not of God" because he was a philosopher. These people are impossible.

I can tell you some bizarre stupidity these people have told me throughout the years.

It's sort of a chicken and egg thing: people who are raised to read nothing else but the Bible are stupid, but also intelligent people don't find the Bible much satisfying, so if they are faithful Christians but more intelligent they look on other sources like Greek philosophy to supplement it.

Not just Christianity, all simplistic religions attract mostly the stupid. New Agers are usually just as stupid as Christians, that's why they follow a very simplistic and watered down version of esoteric knowledge. The occult laws are much more complex than simply "believe and you will get what you want" or "love is the greatest power" or "everything is one".

I was explaining Spiritual Satanism to a person coming from Christianity. He was frustrated and said "all that stuff about meditations, third eye, sigils and magick is too complex for me. Can I just pray to Satan like I did as a Christian without meditating or practicing any of that complex stuff?". I was like "ok, you'd better stay a Christian".
