When people used to make idols, was it usually of the Satanic gods? I remember from reading the buybull that the hebrews were told not to associate with the Canaanites; that the Canaanites would just drag the hebrews into their idol worship lol. From reading that book as a child, it made it seem like it was awfully easy to make an idol and bow down to it! Did doing such a thing have any power? If not then why did it make the make believe Jewish god so angry?

In regard to "Idols", this comes from the Ancient Greek word "Eidolon" which means "representation of". The "Eidolon" which was used in the same exact word in Ancient Greek, means "something is in the image OF SOMETHING" indicating that it's just a mirror reflection of something else, that is True and must be reached THROUGH the idol itself.

Idols in the Ancient World were seen as positive, carrying only a representation of the power of the God, to remind human beings about it. Nothing else besides this point. Humans were never as foolish as to think they were "literally Gods", but they ascribed to them importance over the REPRESENTATION that these carry with them.

There is nothing bad with "Idols", as they are meant to convey certain ideals; for example, the "Idol" of Zeus, represents masculinity, authority, kingship, and rule of the universe. They act as help for one to attune to these ideas. Idol making was a divine process, which was based on mathematics and other spiritual knowledge, to create a representation of the power of the God in the Material Realm or the physical world.

Idols also served many other purposes: Hiding spiritual information due to symbolism, in plain sight, to name one of the few. Certain very important secrets, were made symbolized on the Statue or "Idol", in order so that initiated people or advancing spiritualists could understand these when looking upon these. They were therefore also carriers of spiritual knowledge, or concepts about the Gods or the Universe.

Jews are very angry when Gentiles engage in these behaviors, as the "Idol" act as intermediary work of art that connects human beings to the Gods or to Divine Knowledge.

As such, they made sure to "destroy all the Idols of the Ancients", so people could no longer benefit from the positive effects these idols had on the human beings. The existence of these works of art, like all other works of art, acts as inspiration, hope and bravery inducing inside the human mind.

The "Idol" is seen by the mortal eyes of man, which can instate the above ideals in their minds through representation. That is the same like a painting or anything else that works with art.

Idol or Statue making, was a process that was done by the High Priests of the old times, which would create these in order to convey these ideas to people who were not yet spiritual or initiated in spirituality. As their spiritual eyes were closed, the Idols served as an intermediary point of focus so they could worship the Gods.

When the people were Initiated into spirituality, they could of course pray directly to the Gods, meditate, or receive enlightenment. Jews pretend they are "against Idols", which they falsely define as material objects and "replacements for God".

The enemy, in more of their lies, has accused Ancient People's of "Idolatry" or creating "Idols" and "Worshiping" them, which is very much normal to do. In the same way one can have something symbolic, like the picture of a person that they love, and see it for inspiration, such is also the function of an idol.

The Jews also use "Idols", like the 6 pointed Star, or the Christians, who worship the Jew Jesus on the Crucifix, which is a material object in front of which they pray. In Islam, they claim they are "not using Idols", but the famous painting of the name of "Allah SWT" is actually an "Idol" in itself, working in similar mechanism.

Albeit the Jews and their Abrahamic cults use these all the time in churches, statues or even in material books such as the Bible which are "worshiped", they pretend that only when Pagans did this it was "Idolatry".

That is more typical hypocrisy of them, so they could replace the holy relics and holy creations of the Ancient Past, and remove them from public sight. This would dis-empower their enemies and then they would hope that humans would have to worship their own jewish idols instead.

Paul Kugler (2008) The Cambridge Companion to Jung:

"To Aristotle, an image is an appropriate mental intermediary that "bridges between the inner world of the mind and the outer world of material reality", the image is a vehicle between sensation and reason. Idols are useful psychological catalysts, they reflect sense data and pre-existing inner feelings. They are neither the origins nor the destinations of thought but the intermediary in the human inner journey."

Of course, removing these abilities of the Ancient People's to experience these feelings, catalysts, or to connect with the Gods through these, was quintessential to the jews to remove, so they could deceive humanity and take down the Ancient religions.

Jews forbid their own Jews of engagement into these, constantly in the Bible, as they recognize these "idols" can have power that makes the jews disobedient to their own tribe, or to their own "tribal God". They therefore speak commonly of the "Idol of the Baal" (Beelzebul) and other impressive works of art that made Jews uneasy on the fact they never had culture or ability to create like Gentiles did, in fear that their sheep would defect them upon coming in front of other "Idols".
