Today for the first time I wanted to meditate in deep trance. It wasn't actually in the plan, but I started to breathe, that thing was pleasant to me, I continued by focusing on how well, pleased, I was relaxed in just breathing. I went into trance after a few breaths. Since I thought it was worth it, I performed the exercise to enter trance and went into deep trance.

When I could reach the deepest possible stage, I felt myself falling backward abruptly and suddenly. I wasn't really falling backward, but I wasn't exactly understanding what was going on, so as soon as I felt myself falling, I was startled, which prevented me from deepening the trance.

The fact is that as I was meditating on the deep trance with the energies, it was strange-I felt like I was going to fall asleep. I was not tired, but I just wanted to stop and fall asleep. How do I resolve this? What is positive is that the meditation was performed much better. But as I said, I wanted to stop because I wanted to sleep. Then I came out of the trance. But I wanted to vibrate some mantras actually, I couldn't for that reason....

Trance meditation is essential.
How I keep myself awake is I focus, when I loose focus I almost fall asleep or fall asleep if I lose focus for enough time.
Perhaps focus on the Gods. On my soul, on chakras, on void, on the environment, perhaps put myself in a created environment like a field or forest.

This is normal. It takes consistent time and effort to enter a trance state, especially a deep trance. Just keep practicing and you’ll become used to it.

“This changes the level of brain wave activity from the awake level (Beta) to the asleep level (Alpha) or the deep sleep level (Theta)”

This is why you felt sleepy. A trance puts your brain in an “asleep state” while you are still awake. You achieved the mental falling effect for a moment, which means your brain briefly entered one of these “asleep“ states

Al Jilwah: Chapter IV
