Are Menstrual Cups Harmful?

I've always hated my period because I have to spend so much money on period products. A menstrual cup lasts a long time and requires little maintenance, just consistent disinfecting. But I have been told in the past that even medical grade silicon was unhealthy to insert into one's body. I'm unsure about this claim. Does anyone have insight on this?
I know reusable pads are an option as well, so maybe I'll switch to that.

I can't answer your question. But do double-check feminine products as now a days a number of manufacturers have introduced soy and soy-based substances into the products.

Soy = bad for women, estrogen imbalance especially a particularly bad form of estrogen coming from Soy.

There is much debate about the subject about menstrual or 'juju' cups reducing the flow of blood and causing health problems.

In my opinion a pad is the best option but I am not a woman and I have not tried both and compared the results based on my health markers such as tongue and pulse so it is hard to provide a categorical answer without such experience..

Thank you for the input anyways. Your advice is always appreciated. I feel like, logically, a pad is the best and most natural option. However, it seems most inconvenient to have to change the reusable pads throughout the day. And of course I'd like to spend less money and create less waste.

I had never heard of this, so thank you for that information. I will definitely keep an eye out for soy products from now on.

Unfortunately this cracks open the whole can of worms with xenoestrogens. Xenoestrogens are chemicals that mimic estrogen in the body, and are commonly found in processed foods, hygiene products, laundry items, plastics, etc. For example, DDT, a pesticide, is a xenoestrogen which works as a pesticide by rendering the males of the species infertile. It also does this to other animals who come into contact with the pesticide and does the same to them. This is where Alex Jones's infamous "They are turning the frogs gay!" quote comes from.

Xenoestrogens are also the main cause of why women are having earlier maturation and why men are way more feminine and have less testosterone and other fertility issues. It is not "liberalism" or any sort of ideology that causes this, it actually is the other way around where more people are socialistic and weak acting because they are more feminized.

Compare a picture of men from now to that of men 100 years ago. The average man today is a soyboy, whereas the average man of the past was a chad by today's definition. Check their blood testosterone and the man of the past could have up to 3 times as much!

First of all excuse me chiming in on somewhat off topic.

I totally agree what you say about general population, and it's obvious when going out you see men who are just so weak. Belly growth and general apathy. Ugh... Related to this how much would you think Mars mantra and Mars square could offset this effect?

I've done 80 days of Mars mantra with specific intent to raise testo levels, and blood quality and currently I'm doing Mars square to increase physical strength and recovery rate. Could the harmful effects from such sources completely countered with the use of magick? Of course one has to have healthy lifestyle and physical activites for it work, but how about when magick is added on top of that?

Effects so far are very noticeable. As if I'm taking pills, but I'm not. I had a cycling related fitness plateau, but I got off from it and it feels like I'm steady growing again. That being said I wonder if such hazards can be avoided altogether.

 Thank you for that information. I'm trying to eat and live as naturally as possible in the current state of the world to avoid such issues.

From what I've heard about using Mars from other's experiences and yours, it certainly sounds like it is working. The net androgenic profile of the body takes into account all influences, positive and negative. You have your base constitution, then you add in diet/exercise/environmental exposure, then of course the astral influences. The output is then calculated. In your case, it sounds like most factors were kept constant, but the Mars influence was added and the net output went up, so I would call it a success!

Also, don't forget that general advancement and increases in bioenergy will counter xenoestrogens and any toxins as well. Given enough energy, the body can do anything it needs to. The yoga poses alone aid detox, push energy/blood into the sex organs, lower cortisol, etc. This would all promote for a correct androgenic profile in men and women.

Also, magic can go deeper by correcting genes/gene expression. For example, implementing permanence as a characteristic of the Mars working may alter your body's genes, testicles, androgen receptors, or whatever to become more Chad-like, just like how you see the normal variation in the populace. Some people are more naturally like that, and you can adopt those "methods".

As far as easy physical fixes, this includes switching all your soaps, detergents, hygiene products to natural/organic versions. Some products are easier to replace than others. Also, installing a shower filter and a drinking water filter removes a big source of xenoestrogens (such as factory toxins, but also dissolved birth control).

Lastly, doing anything that fights liver stagnation will work in your favor, as the liver removes and processes excess estrogenic compounds. Exercise and lots of cruciferous veggies is the way to do this. This can also explain why dirty bulking can have its limits.

Anyway, your results sound good. Such a working is something I would like to do as well, but I feel like I have other ones to accomplish first.

3 "journalist" "men" at Buzzfeed got tested to see what level of testosterone they have, and they found that all 3 of them have the same amount of testosterone as the average 85 year old man, basically nothing at all.

Lifeless soyboy freaks. More like a mannequin than a man.

I am not well-versed in this topic, however, I have been an avid fan of my diva cup for the past year. Diva Cups are made from medical grade silicone, and from my limited understanding, that is just silicone and oxygen atoms bonded together. I am trusting the integrity of the company not to sneak harmful chemicals into the product. I would be curious to see studies of these feminine products (not funded by diva cup or a competitor of course).
I have had a great experience with my menstrual cup as I can typically wear it for at least a full 24 hours without having to dump it, which makes it convenient for when I am travelling or in a situation that would make having to find privacy for changing tampons or pads a hassle. When I started using a menstrual cup, I was actually technically homeless and living in basically the wilderness, so tampons were really not an ideal choice for me, and neither would pads (reusable or otherwise) have been.
My vagina is rather sensitive and I struggle with constant UTI's, yeast infections, and bacterial vaginosis; however, I believe I have noticed a reduction in my number of infections since making the switch to menstrual cups. I used to only use tampons and the occasional liner with my periods, but I seemed to get an infection monthly with my cycle. Condoms had this effect on me as well.
Overall, you are likely best off with a reusable pad if you are concerned about the health of your vagina, just be aware of the materials in the pad. My mother used reusable pads before hitting menopause, and she suffered from excessively heavy periods. I'm not sure how she handled changing her pads when she was on the go, but I believe she had a bag she could put the pad in, and the pad itself would fold up and snap so it wouldn't be making much of a mess everywhere.
I do think that menstrual cups are a good choice, but I'm biased. I also accept that new information could come out and they could be terrible for you. You do NOT face the same risk of toxic shock syndrome from a menstrual cup as with a tampon. In fact, I believe there is little to no risk.

Side note, don't ever wear thinx or similar period-absorbing underwear. I have read studies that say they can cause harm to your vagina, and the only studies that come out and say otherwise were funded directly by the companies. I'm not exactly sure what materials are used in the underwear, but if that is something that you consider, do some thorough research and draw your own conclusions.

Yeah I've seen them. They act like a bunch of giggling school girls. It is what it is if that is how they grew up in this world so I don't fault them on that alone. I do find fault when these same people or others start bashing masculinity and any appeal to wanting more testosterone though. Maybe they just need a testosterone shot to realize what they are missing.

This is most likely dietary in nature. In TCM, this sort of bacterial growth is related to dampness in the body. The main source of is commonly dietary consumption of sugars, cooling foods, white breads, wheat/gluten, and a lack of veggies or exercise. If you have the means, you should pursue treatments/counsel from a TCM doctor. You can try this herbal formula that may help, and you should read the description and comments.

This problem can be fixed by lifestyle changes alone, but the herbs or other treatments can speed up the correcting of the imbalances, as well as reduce the damage of relapses. I would suggest reading more about this topic from a TCM point of view, because I think this is where you will find relief, and it should be pretty easy as well.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Only two things more left to do I guess are more greens, and installing a water filter. I actually already have one, but it's not installed yet.

Definitely do this, and any other square you see fit for yourself. I have completed one Sun square, and Mars is almost complete now. That leaves Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Moon, and maybe even Saturn square to be done. I have uses for all of them, but timings need to be good to begin them and other workings may take priority. It's going to be one heck of a 2021 I can tell. :D
