Focus on building a good career. Casinos and other events where gambling is concerned see people lose their life and their ass on a momentary basis. Get a job based either off school or some kind of certifications, trade school and would recommend sucking it up if you want to make better money and a stable income.
I had been a real hardliner against this, and would have simply lived in a cheap rental apartment working a bottom end job forever, and thankfully that never materialized. Once I realized that you have to put yourself out there a bit to actually generate decent income, to make sacrifices of preference to satisfy greater preferences elsewhere, especially when it comes to taking care of large responsibilities that require larger financial compensation. You have to make that call. There are a TON of options out there. Some are not very glamorous and come with a load of nonsense stereotypes, but getting over that and using the work for the tool it is to generate money allows us to go live our lives more freely away from the worksite. I would love passion work that pays, but I have learned a lot of that is really expensive, and atleast for where I am what I do works atleast, maybe you can have something that brings you both. Those highschool years and early 20s applied the right way can make a big difference, where if they are wasted, can really leave you grasping after those years are over. Just think about it, the money you get reliably that rolls in instead of chattering your teeth over you winning something or not.
As much as it might sound crazy, I had always thought it was a bit sketchy having a company know on paper, or likely companies these days, and all their advertising and marketing teams willing to violate your data for their own extra buck, to have all of your information and to know you won that money. It would be great if it ever smelled of some sort of innocence, but my senses have told me it's likely far from that. Preying on hope, I could only imagine where a good deal of that money goes.
So, I'd put my hope in the stable, and what you can decently make with your own hands. Or maybe working and figuring out a side business of your own, there are a lot of options out there. More than when I was particularly young and not a bit naive to the world and how it works. I still have a lot to understand even today.
Have to say it, but I'm not supporting prostitution or anything like that here, just have to put it out there.
