This is mainly aimed at Lydia but others can chime in here too if they have an idea. I think my sun square that I am doing is helping bring this more to light and leading me to correct it given it directly has to do with my spine (specifically the part in my neck). This has become a priority focus given from what I recall that the spine must be healthy and straight for the kundalini and energy flow.

I wake up from time to time with my neck and shoulders lopsided with bad pain in my trapezius and rhomboid muscles on the left side, with barely able to turn my head to the left side. It always happens on this side and when the symptoms occur they do so for weeks. It flared up again and this time pain shot down my arm and various muscle groups have been spasming, also being accompanied by weakness in my arm for the first time. I tried to bench press my normal weight the other day at the gym and i almost dropped it.....I couldn't even do one set. I had to take off work today and went to the chiropractor and i did a strength test...i couldn't even do one pushup my left arm gave out.

It was seen on xrays that my cervical spine is twisted and needs to be adjusted and that one of the nerves that control my left arm is pinched in the process. I had one adjustment today and so far so good. I suspected this could have come from a car accident from years ago and it was concurred. It was told explicitly to me that nothing is permanent but it is annoying and I cannot work my upper body because of it for some time. I am also doing the ritual to Valefor for healing.

Are there any yoga poses that can help with a pinched nerve in the neck? I also had a deep tissue massage yesterday that had me in tears the whole time...it was that bad. I couldn't even get out of bed this morning. She was in to new age stuff and told me she felt a lot of anxiety and anger in my body (i learned she worked with angels and I said explicitly I wanted nothing to do with this and I do not think I will return there. I cleaned my aura right after)

See a chiropractor. I'm 100% sure they will help you, just make sure you choose a good one.

Besides that, make sure you are sleeping right: not on a too big and not on a too small pillow.

You definitely don't want new age people to massage you, but there are a lot of good of them also.

I found a good one I was just there today. I am going back in a couple days it is going to be a process. I am considering starting a mercury square for nerve repair.

Doing a square just for this might be overkill. I would direct healing, and calming energy like demonic energy. I'm sure there are also herbs for anti-inflammatory or nerve repair or whatever, so make sure to look into it and acupoints are also very helpful things.

Get well Sister.

This is of material nature but also look into practicing Sithali and focus on the downflow of energy. You might be able to reduce the need of painkillers when this occurs. When tension is high in your body, do also focus outside of you to maybe release some of this tension.

Unfortunately, if you have high energies, these aspects of circulating energy are very important and if tense they poll in and create vacums of energy. So Do all Yoga except the positions in which you angle your neck unless with a professional.

Sorry for not seeing this before, I believe you have my email though?

Currently, for when you are suffering from this problem, you need to heal it first, before doing yoga for it.

Are you able to see a physical therapist? That might be your best bet for now. Try Wunjo rune in the meantime.

Hey Lydia :). I do but I was also curious to others input here too. Yes I am doing physical therapy and seeing a chiropractor.

I had similar experiences, due to an accident, and I learned that peripheral nerves may grow back (slowly) if damaged, while root nerves coming out from the spine, once damaged, will not auto-repair. I also think there is no kind of surgery to correct this.
If you have a pinched nerve and this continues for many years, there's a risk of permanent damage, so correcting this is paramount.
If you feel your arm or fingers frequently tingling, this is not a good sign.

Seeing a chiropractor is very helpful. In my experience, teeth are also involved with cervical vertebrae, to the point some chiropractors act with teeth, in cooperation with specialized dentist, to correct the overall head position and how the spine is aligned in the cervical area. Teeth may press on bones to create tensions, that misaligned the spine with time.

What I am trying to say, head position and shoulder/neck muscles may have created tensions that caused the nerve pinching. Possibly an accident increased those tensions.
I am not able to suggest yoga asanas to release neck and shoulder tensions, as I cannot practice them (I had spine surgery) , but I am sure some advices will come out on here.
Be careful with massages and neck-based asanas (like the candle asana) before fixing the issue, as this may cause more problems.

I don't have any tingling or numbness anywhere and the weakness is exclusive to my left tricep muscle only. It has only been a week and a half and he told me specifically that this was repairable. I don't have lost feeling in the affected area and the muscle still contracts and everything else just fine and is even able to perform all motions when the weakness shows...just not when things reach a certain weight. I do feel occasional spasms and burning in the area

I need to correct my previous statement: only when the root of a main nerve is eradicated from the spine, this cannot be repaired. Damage to the nerve should self-repair but it's very slow. A co-worker lost sensitivity to part of his leg due to an accident, she needed 3-4 years to get sensitivity back. This is why a damaged nerve grows again from its source at 0,04 inches per day ratio (or so, depending on your age).

If your muscle works, the nerve is not damaged. Anyway it's good you are fixing this pinching, as this may worsen if neglected. Nerve damages are a true pain in the ass, long and weakening problems.
The radial nerve is formed as a continuation of the posterior cord of the brachial plexus and arises from the C5-T1 nerve fibers. This nerve serves the triceps too, but the triceps is connected to the main 5 nerves of the brachial plexus. If you have any other weakening to other muscles this will help to locate the involved nerve (probably you already know from xray)
So it would be helpful to use yoga asanas working around this spinal location, also sending healing Energy to this specific point, just look on the web a picture like this https://teachmeanatomy.info/wp-content/uploads/Overview-of-the-Cervical-Nerve-Plexus.png.webp

I hope this is useful to you and your deserved healing!
