Greetings. Since I was 12 I had growth spurts in my wisdom teeth. Now one of them is starting to tear through my skin (my gum bled, but the tooth isn't showing and the bleeding stopped). It was slightly painful for 2 days, but now it stopped.
I must say I am pretty young for this, as doctors also told me. Should I get it removed surgically? I know it's necessary if it keeps pushing, but it's not even out of the skin now. I'm afraid they push me to do this to get paid. I also know that if I let it sit until it starts to break the gum it may mess with my teeth's alignment. Doctors told me it takes around a few months-a few years for wisdom teeth to grow completely, but they didn't tell me when I should take the surgery.
I don't want to take out a part of my body unnecessarily.
Also, a self entitled bitch told me that the more the tooth is into the gum, the more difficult the operation will be, and that if it isn't out of the gums yet then it will 100% get infected. Some "doctor" apparently told her this, and she "wishes for my best". I don't believe her but it's good to ask.
