Which method?

I am currently studying astrology and have finally come to the point where I can read people and do transits, SR and progressions.

A friend of mine ordered a reading from Maxine years ago (so did I), she lives in Norway, born in almost the same place as me, literally just 1 and a half hour drive. Maxine used the Equal house system on her due to she is born so far north. She didn't use that method on me, she used Placidus.

Which of the methods are correct to use for us who lives in Norway? As the different methods changes houses, house cusps, thus, changes the personality, the life and such.

Because this seriously changes a lot.

I'm still in the process of understanding all this fully, Why are different methods used? What's the difference between them? How much to they change the reading?

For the sake of research, this can be figured out by comparing the chart done both ways on an adult. Look to the planets in houses for both methods, and compare the signs on house cusps for both methods. As well, intercepted signs (signs that are fully within a house, no house cusp on the sign) can be areas of our life that we have difficulties with. And, the planet that rules the intercepted sign is a co-ruler of that house, so comparing any transits to that planet to see if they affect the area of life ruled by the house.
