I was reading from a book I found among the old Forum posts, the Hexagradior, which has excellent exercises in the first few pages and seems to me to be the best book on magic I have seen.
The author writes:
"A notion which relatively frequently re-emerges in the conversations within the occult milieu, is that some persons seem to be somehow immune to negative spells. For example, the aforementioned group of rabbis who were involved in the rain ritual (or at least some of them ) were also involved in casting of a curse on Saddam Hussein after he fired rockets on Israel. This took place during the First Gulf War at the very start of the nine-teen-nineties. It didn't stop at one ritual. Numerous experienced Kabbalists tried the same without any result. Such rites continued throughout the decade, some times with considerable media attention, but Saddam hasn’t suffered a cough, let alone death. In the end, a very earthly force had to be used on him.
(...)
It seems that some people are somehow protected from any danger, and not only from occult influences. A prominent example would be Adolf Hitler. There are many reports about curses attempted by jews in Nazi Germany as Hitler was starting to persecute them in the nine-teen-thirties. We can safely conclude that this had no noticeable result. "
As soon as I saw the the news of the death of Iran's president, I had thought about it a little bit but was skeptical, after reading these, it seems very plausible.
