I like Whitman’s poetry but I don’t think most of it is particularly Satanic, if that’s what you mean. He has a kind of universal approach to religion in his work, with a reverence for all of them in his own beliefs that “today” is built upon those beliefs. He wasn’t spiritual though from what I’ve gathered and read of his work.

Mark Twain has written poetry but he is more an author. He wrote books like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, to distinguish the two.

Mark Twain/Sam Clemmens is great. Great quotes from him especially.


Dude Edgar Allen Poe us awesome. I tend to write in his kind if format when writing a book. I like it. His short story The Spectacles was detailed and enriching.
