Emotions can be translated as energy. Each emotion has a different frequency. The so called "positive emotions" have high frequency, and the "negative emotions" have lower frequency.
Emotions do have voltage, and their frequencies take place on a vertical dimension of contraction and expansion. The higher the frequency the higher the expansion and the greater the life force in our body cells. The lower the frequency of an emotion then the greater the contraction and lesser the life force in our body cells.
The emotion with the highest frequency is the feeling we experience during deep meditation, the so called enlightenment. This is when the life force in our body hits its peak. The emotion with the lower frequency is shame and guilt. When we feel these emotions our body experiences contraction of frequency and this is when it is easier for the enemy to attack us.
