I grew up and matured reading Plato's Symposium. By now it has become my mentor.
It is because of him that I can no longer be content in love.
I tell you about him because I am so fascinated by him and he has taught me so much and I would like all of you here to understand that you don't have to settle for someone just because you don't want to be alone.
One of his first lessons is that love starts from physical beauty all the way to soul beauty, which have to lead to one goal: goodness.
He also talks about love in his Phaedrus. Love is an instrument of spiritual elevation. Earthly love (eros) that is, love tied to the senses is only the starting point and if it remains tied to the senses it is only illusory.
True love is that which goes beyond. When both lovers can see inside the person, they have the desire to know the person. That love is a search for truth. Plato tells us that that kind of love so deep can make the soul reach the highest elevation.

When people ask me why I never get into a relationship it is because of this. Love is not just the carnal love, the love that is dependent on the other person. love is something so deep that it should only lead to self-improvement, spiritual progress.
Never be satisfied, trust Plato.

Hail Plato!
Hail Zeus!

It is really so good to hear you talk about the humanities. You talked to me about it, and to see that you actually manage to take this to such a high level, not just mechanically repeating it like a philosophy professor would, but showing us how you have matured these teachings within yourself... it's REALLY nice.

Please, if you can, keep doing it. I read it with pleasure. It was not even heavy to read, but engaging indeed. Thank you so much for a great experience!

However, between not settling and lack of research, distinct situations pass. There are spiritual means as you know to handle this desire of yours, your Guardian plus help you in this.

@Tethys333

I was also thinking about this for a moment.
A lot of the work on this is not just due to a Venus square that will make you find love.
You also have to find yourself, understand yourself and stay healthy with certain aspects of you. (You know what I'm talking about).

This can be preliminary. But not too much since actually knowing someone who motivates us to improve, really pushes us to improve. I have experiences of this.
But yes, before you commit, have the strength to commit :)

You can really start with these good things about yourself like the one I wrote to you.

Thank you very much indeed!
I didn't think it would be so much appreciated. I decided to write it since I notice that especially these days, few people know the true meaning of love.
If it can elevate you, if that person can arouse something inside you without necessarily having to notice his or her appearance, albeit important, trust me, that's the right person.

Look, as much as the Venus square is necessary, sometimes I think people misuse it. It is right to attract the right person for you, the person I mentioned above.
I don't really agree when you keep trying despite that person not seeing the true beauty within you, in your ESSENCE.
As you already said, you only harm yourself and our life is such a great treasure that you cannot waste it by going after a person who does not
want us.
You have to look for a person who is able to elevate the best in you. The one who can bring out the divine within you.

That's right, that's true, but since your relationship with others is based on what you convey to them, you have to be the first to understand yourself before someone understands you. Basically if you treat others while underestimating yourself, you are behaving in a context where you are underestimating yourself and others will do the same. In fact, maybe they will underestimate you even more because being external will be the only thing they can see about you.

This is the real reason why it is always said that if you don't love yourself first, no one will love you. Start from those things. Another thing I have noticed that is a good place to start is that you are kind to people and that includes being honest with them. Regardless of how much people have appreciated you it is people's problem this, whereas your problem now is to value what you have always taken for granted about yourself or undervalued.

Well said! A good starting point is also this in order to transmit your energy to other people and they will gradually understand what you are really like!
