I've been wondering about this, refined Sugar seemingly takes minerals out of the body and long term use throws it off balance, but does it also have an effect on the immune system?
I mean, does it lower the effectiveness of the immunesystem?

Your body needs sugar to function. Your body can convert food into a usable form of sugar for energy but the problem is refined sugar is added to many different foods and you can see this by checking the labels..the most common is high fructose corn syrup. Problems like Diabetes are rampant these days because people are throwing their bodies out of whack with that stuff. The body cannot handle that overload and excess sugar.
Sugars in fruit and honey, etc are minor and not enough to throw your body out of whack. The sugars that occur naturally such as in fruit and honey are loaded with other minerals, enzymes and nutrients that give them a healthy benefit and balance. White sugar is just stripped, refined and empty.

It's best to stick with foods that have natural sugars in it. Even with natural sugars like honey and molasses, it is still best not to overdue. I read many times that refined sugar can lower the immune system for some hours but I am not exactly sure on the science behind it.
There are many problems that manifest if one goes overboard on processed sugars. From my own experience, i notice some problems arise when I overdue on sugar. It definitely isn't good if you constantly consume it over a period of time. If you find yourself craving sugar all the time, then you know that you have some sort of imbalance.
Of course sometimes I eat food with refined sugar but after a while of getting off the stuff, you will see that it tastes way too sweet and artificial. I went off many forms of sugar for a while and I definitely felt better.

Also when eating healthy fats with sugar, it helps to slow the absorption of it instead of it just rushing inside the body and giving that spike and crash associated with sugar. The fat helps to slow it down for use of energy.
Healthy fats: Coconut oilOlive oil (primarily monounsaturated fat)Palm oilTallowPeanut oilButter and Cream
These fats contain a high amount of saturated fat which is good. The brain, cells and hormones are made of saturated fats so we obviously should include them in our diets. Rancid and hydrogenated vegetable oils cause unhealthy weight gain, heart disease and other problems.
Saturated fats were part of our traditional diets.

Yes it does, not directly but because it takes minerals out of the body is weakens the bodies ability to protect itself from disease and it makes it harder for the body to repair damage done to cells.

When there are too little minerals available in the body all functions weaken and slow down. One of the first things to take a big hit is the immune system as a lot of complicated proteins are needed to make white blood cells and repairing damaged cells requires minerals too.

Consuming large amounts of refined sugar or consuming products which contain refined sugar on a regular basis harms your immune system indirectly by making it harder for your body to maintain itself and your health.

mhm. I was wondering because now that it seems that I might be having some allergic reaction to whatever is in the air around where I live, I noticed that after eating or drinking something that had sugar (just said sugar as first ingredient) I needed to sneeze more for a bit. I couldn't go inside because I was doing something for my education, but noticing this..

Of course I meant excluding honey and I didn't mean fruit, but just that.
Seeing this is a month in which I probably will eat a lot of refined sugars I guess it'd be best to stay off them till I probably will eat them again.

Also why the fuck would you add sugar in meat?!

No, it isn't.
Any oil or fat rich in saturated fats are healthy for the human body since the brain, hormones and practically every cell in the body is made of saturated fats and contains a significant amount of cholesterol. Therefore, it makes sense to consume these things.
Funny how when we abandon traditional diets and healthy fats, disease is rampant...
Rancid, hydrogenated and gmo vegetable oils are cancer causing and does not assimilate well in the body like saturated fats.
