Unfortunately, despite my training, I wasn't able to Astral project but I'm not getting tired of trying. I just want to know what the problem is, since I clearly remember I Astral projected before even though it was involuntarily and only for a few seconds. The JoS method doesn't work for me and even the traditional-rope pulling method or others like that. I feel like there is a major problem that I can't identify or maybe these are simply not the right methods for me. If there's any one out there that can Astral project at will and can give me some tips or maybe tell me their journey learning this ability I would gladly appreciate it.
P. S. i always get close to projection, I can feel my Astral body dissociating but then I start hearing a very loud ringing sound/siren-like sound and I can assure you it's not a product of my mind cause it's clearly some sort of clairaudience
The fact that you won't stop trying is very good, just know that as long as you don't quit it's inevitable that you will master it. The biggest reason people fail astral projection is because they get demoralized. Failed attempts are extremely important, and they aren't a waste of time, they will teach you a lot about the skill.
The thing about astral projection is that a regular trance state, or even a deep one, isn't enough in many cases, so the problem isn't really the technique, but the relaxation of the body needed to project. You have to be so relaxed that your body is sleeping, but your mind is awake. This state is very hard to achieve, and needs a lot of training, but it's worth it.
There is a way to skip all the trance part though and this helps a lot to get quicker results, it's the Raduga's indirect method. Basically sleep for 6 hours, then wake up and stay awake for some minutes. Then go to sleep with the intention to wake up (without an alarm) and practice immediately the techniques to project without moving your body. By doing this you will catch the perfect moment to project, you will be basically in a very deep trance already and projecting will be much easier. I suggest you to take a look at Michael Raduga's works because they are very good.
The sound that you hear is very common, especially when you are about to project, it's a positive thing don't worry about it. Just keep relaxing more and more, don't get excited, let it happen and be calm. Don't try to force it.
