So metaphysics is a legitimate discipline?

The ancient religions taught the mechanics of the soul, such as the Kabala of Egypt (stolen by jews). Some of this deals with the properties of light, laws of the universe, and much else. The human soul for example can be measured in scientific terms, but science needs to catch up and merge with the occult first. As Maxine explained, everything of the occult can be explained by science.

As a philosopher, whether I like it or not, I often encounter metaphysical questions. I usually shrug them off and move on to "more legitimate" areas like ethics and theology. But recently, here, I heard one of you mention how quantum mechanics is the metaphysics of the age.

So metaphysics is legit? How do I study it? Do we have anything in the JoS library about it? What do you think is a good book about it?

The difference between quantum physics and metaphysics is that quantum physics is science while metaphysics is philosophy:

Quantum physics is the branch of physics that is concerned with things that is dealing with the behavior of matter and light on the atomic and subatomic scale. It attempts to describe and account for the properties of molecules and atoms and their constituents—electrons, protons, neutrons, and other more esoteric particles such as quarks and gluons. [1]

Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that is concerned with the nature of reality and deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, identity, time, and space. [2]

These two disciplines are interconnected as they affect each other. This is evident from the 'Observer Effect'; a process of observing a particle changes the way the particle behaves. Wolfgang Pauli (1900-1958), an Austrian-Swiss physicist, won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1945 for the "Pauli Principle" involving spin theory. However, Pauli was also famous for what became known as the "Pauli effect," which manifested in the spontaneous breakdown of laboratory equipment whenever he entered the room. It also manifested in other ways, including mischievous events like chairs collapsing and train cars decoupling, to the detriment of those around him, but not to himself. [3]

Manipulating energy through consciousness can be used to cause creation and destruction. This happens when we meditate as we raise energy that can be utilized as we see fit. Maxine have explained in JoS some of the science regarding the physics of the soul, and the metaphysics involving our spiritual nature and origin. Metaphysics and Quantum physics are indeed legit, we just need more exploring in order to connect the dots from the Occult to Science.
