Hello brothers and sisters,
As the topic suggests, can the combination of silent chanting and the mudras be used as a form of VOID/mindfulness meditation?
Just as a focus point for a wild mind?

Yes! It is actually very powerful to first master pointed focus, be it a mental loop of mantra or emotion, and after silencing and conquering the full void control over self.

The key is to fully concentrate on the silent mantra, or you'd only ignore the other thoughts thinking that they are not there, yet they are mayhem on the subconscious level. Fully concentrating means to taste, touch, feel, experience the mantra. Enter it with everything you know of yourself and reality to be in that linearity of mantra. You should at one point lose touch with time, thoughts, and everything the mind entails and feeling entering in the void state.

Void state of being feels like being in a suspended time, like time freezes and nothing exists but the realization of experiencing nothing, which at many times is frightening and for most not enjoyable. But have no fear.

Don´t know what you mean with midfulness, but if you can fokus better then why not, technically seen you empower/vibrate the point where you will fokus on with the SaTANaMa mantra.
