Check out occult and new age shops. They have a decent selection of incense. You can also check out Whole Foods, they should have some incense, although it might cost more. Look around Chinatown too, or in Thai/Tibetan shops that sell clothing and stuff, they sometimes have incense and cases to put them in.

I wouldn't trust dollar stores or cheapie places for incense, because the incense WILL be cheap.

Burning cheap incense SMELLS cheap, and IS an insult to the Gods. Better not to burn incense then cheap incense. What you pay for is what you get most of the time, when it comes to this stuff. That's my experience anyways.

Doesn't hot topic sell incense? There's not one in japan but I thought they did. Anyway, I seem to just randomly happen upon them. Try the "darker" feeling shops. Works for me. And also make sure to try out the incense before using it in a ritual, just to make sure it what you want because most names Are like "red dragon" and shit. What the eff does a red dragon smell like?? So get it and it might be cherry or something..... And I'm rambling well good luck happy hunting/finding!

If you live in California you can go to The Black down in ocean beach^^ they have incense burners, incense, candles(even black ones^^) , and plenty of other great stuff for those of us Brethren who live here. All quality items too may I add.

I have venusina incense like rose and vanilla, dragonsblood is under mars and is best for black magick etc. Cinnamon is my favorite and is best used for solar related magick and success etc. Its a spice incense. I read on the JoS page that we need incense when summoning a Demon. I have looked everywhere in my town and m unable to find ANY incense that doesn't smell completely cheap and horrible. Is Incense really necessary?

I find it easiest to do everything with incense, it helps the focus. Try ordering online, if you have the funds to do so. I am sure that there are cheap prices for them. I used to live in the same block as a woman who runs a tiny shop where she sold handmade soaps, tea leaves, stones, and incense....I miss being back there....
