Question #5644: Planet's in signs correlating to their house rulership?

If a planet is in a particular sign, will its behaviour correlate with the House rulership of that sign?

For example, let's say Mercury is in Scorpio, will there be parralels between the behaviour of someone with a Mercury in the 8th House, since Scorpio is the ruler of the 8th?

Also, does the above also apply, but maybe to a lesser extent, if a planet/sign is aspecting that house e.g., in the form of an opposition (say, a 2nd House Mercury in Scorpio Opposite the native's 8th House)?

There is a sort of material vs. spiritual difference. The 8th House is also not identical to Scorpio in what it rules, there are differences even in terms of the types of directions, places and objects ruled by each respectively. As the 7th of the 2nd, the 8th House rules over many financial aspects that are far more specific in meaning in Scorpio positions.

Another distinct difference is that the 8th House can rule things as strange as a sibling's disease or work (6th House from the 3rd), Scorpio may only signify this in a very subtle way.
