I read on the JoS and the forums several times about celibacy being unnatural and unhealthy. I don't necessarily disagree, however, I recently stumbled upon a certain YouTube video.

In the video, the narrator explains that celibacy contributes to spiritual growth. Among other things he stated that after one year of celibacy, you'll be much more content with yourself - you'll experience a peace.

Here's a link to the 8 minute video: https://youtu.be/bPmRRoYVQ_4?si=YJ8uUzkRcWwEvXCk

I am curious what you think about his views. It doesn't all sound like nonsense to be honest. For instance, celibacy is a way to exercise discipline which is definitely a good trait. Also, I have read stories from people that went a year or more as celibate and they seem to be positive. Those stories could be false or altered, of course, but are interesting.

Hopefully, you can help me out - as I am considering to be celibate for a month.

Basically, this is a false conflation of discipline with restriction, which gets worse as people mix this with problems caused by usually porn-induced, excessive masturbation. More here, by myself and others: https://www.ancient-forums.com/viewtopic.php?p=427147#p427147

At its core, sexual energy represents the spark of life, with the orgasm itself representing a creative process. Although letting it build in the body can generate power, eventually this must be expressed and done so without guilt attached.

The mechanism of finding "peace" usually follows the New Age line of thinking of restricting oneself from valid and also very important elements of life itself, usually associated with attacks on the lower chakras. Of course, let us also ignore the natural peace that orgasm brings.

Instead, we should embrace and advance, rather than restrict and repress, anything in life. You should try to think about why you may feel that celibacy is a solution for you: What are you trying to achieve, and why would celibacy help that?

Sure, you could try it for some time and see the results you get, but this must also be fairly compared to the results that other people can achieve with other methods. If you want peace, why not use Wunjo or Gebo, or calming forms of yoga? If you desire discipline, why not use Nauthiz or employ discipline with your work output, rather than sexual output? For sexual health concerns, we can use Thurisaz or yang exercise, and so on.

Is someone who does sexual magick not spiritually advanced? Alternatively, is the end goal of spiritual advancement to find ourselves missing a core component of life? Can we not grow through cleanliness and meditation, rather than suppression of sexuality? That is possibly what this person is suggesting.

These people you are citing have most likely not even tried any of these other solutions that JoS offers, so they cannot give fair suggestions or interpretations on discipline or happiness, or even spiritual growth for that matter.

ACC to me it's good it strengthens the pingala very much which in turn helps in balancing the soul and raising the kundalini in which also semen is required if you disagree fine .with the experience I have I can say for certain it's good I know this because of my dripping ambrosia and feeling of the kundalini which feels as if liquid is going up in the tailbone

If your Ida** was benefiting from a reduction in ejaculation, this means you were yin-deficient beforehand. However, this is much different from saying celibacy (total abstinence) is the solution, but rather you only reduce a little bit until you could make permanent improvements to the yin side of your soul, like a Venus or Moon working.

Similarly, a Mars working can also help, as this increases the overall sexual output of the person, plus this energy can redirected with acupoints or other methods into decreasing yin deficiency, if required. So again, total celibacy would be the wrong call. Like I said above, it is an imperfect method pushed by the enemy as the end goal, which is total nonsense and settling for a shitty reality.
