Toilets are just a human technology of transporting waste fluid. There is nothing innately disrespectful about it, it's a cultural connotation which depends on the practitioner.

If you're from a 3rd world country and never seen a toilet in your life, then your intent cannot possible be disrespectful if you do not have that association.
