Hi, I remember a lot of you saying satan doesn't punish the people that stray away from him but after some study I found this

AL jilwha
I allow everyone to follow the dictates of his own nature, but he that opposes me will regret it sorely.

Qu'ret al-Yezid

And in the secret cave of my wisdom it is known that there is no god but myself,
Archangel over all the host, Melek Ta'us.
Knowing this, who dares deny?
Knowing this, who dares fail to worship?
Knowing this, who dares worship the false gods of the Koran and bible?
Know that who knows me will I cast into paradisiacal gardens of my pleasure!
But the Yezid who knows me not will I cast into affliction.

Help me understand, thank you.

This is talking about the people who directly work against the gods, and try to destroy all of the work that the gods have built.

Not participating and doing nothing is very different than being an enemy and working against the gods.

The Al-Jilwah and especially the Quret Al Yezid should only be taken as inspirational, not as literal words of Satan. Many of the things that they say have been corrupted by Muslims or changed to avoid persecution by the Muslims, as it also says in the JoS website. Look at an obvious example from the part you posted:

An "archangel" can't be a God, of course. So this part is clearly corrupted. Satan wasn't really ever an angel or archangel, but an ancient Pagan God.

So it also goes that the part about punishment is also corruption to conform to Muslim doctrines.

However, this part isn't corrupted but something you most likely misinterpreted:

This clearly says "he that opposes me" which means if you attack Satan or his people you'll be punished. Not if you merely leave. It says nothing about merely leaving, but only actively opposing him.

This doesn't means necessary that Satan punishes people of the enemy (yes, this is true, but it isn't the point), but in general that people who don't follow satan's teaching will experience the consequences of ignorance for being far from the Truth of Satan.

Al Jilwah: Chapter IV

"It is my desire that all my followers unite in a bond of unity, lest those who are without prevail against them." - Satan
