Oh yes, in some things Varg is definitely positive, but other things are just a joke, I did paint him in a negative light but I also did not mention I enjoyed going down his twitter. He's certainly not controlled opposition, he's a man who has suffered and his suffering brought him to make some dubious life choices, and some good ones too.

It’s interesting as I read this. In my particular Wiccan path, if you can call it that, much of what was passed down supposedly came from very ancient teachings and there was talk of “being of the blood” through ancestry and also spiritually. People were recognized as being from a spiritual line of witches through reincarnation. Anyway, the version I studied was very Celtic. I found myself immediately drawn towards Hecate and Pan which were considered a bit darker (even if not Celtic) with altars facing the north instead of east since the north was considered a dark place of mystery.

There were 3 degrees of which the first was of white magic, the usual. different Sabbats which you kept for a year to gain power and become synchronized with the seasons, making oils, incense, your own tools….basic stuff for a year and a day….not quite kiss a crystal dolphin for the goddess or anything but “light” oriented.

2nd degree was a “minimum” of a year of studying the dark side. We were told to research and go as deep as possible but it was left up to us. I studied the Church of Satan, Temple Of Set, OTO, dark psychology, mind control, cults, Nazi Germany, Egypt, etc.

3rd degree we came out,of the dark balanced and we were told to go out and teach, find others. I started a pagan club at a University in a diferent state. It’s still going today under another name, but I am still recognized as founder. We had pagan Sabbat circles in the hundreds of people. 3rd degree was also about finding the real witches, not the posers and there was an emphasis on pagans being more like the congregation and initiates being a Priesthood of sorts to find and teach. Eventually, I got frustrated because no one took it seriously. Even when we were certainly in touch with actual deity. I eventually went out on my own as my old teachers had passed (they were very old but very connected to some well known people). I found one person who was as deep into magick as me and married her. I still find local “pagans” but they are just not really at all what they say they are, just name only. Now I am here and it’s the closest I’ve found to the old group I knew in the 3 degrees….a lifelong journey that still continues today.

I have always known there was a psychic war going on and before coming here I certainly a theistic point of view on Satan.
