This year if you haven't yet. Start journaling. Everyday. Above is a program to help you out with the basics. Before you master the world you must master yourself. And before you master yourself, you must know yourself.
I'll just write this here and not create a separate post.
Long story story, in order to know Thyself you have to know who you are right this moment. And Journaling is a great way to do that. Here you can write about your Emotions, Actions and Thoughts you have in your day to day life. This will give you great insight.
For example- you thought about something and felt something strongly. Or you had a idea connecting making different things for yourself or an insight about yourself so you wrote it down. You might record your day to day activities and discover certain triggers lead you to feel a certain type of way or trigger an action. Ex - Once you start, you cant stop scrolling through social media and you open it in a certain time of the day and there might be something associated with that time. Maybe a feeling or an emotion.
You might note down the certain themes about life that you think about strongly which might indicate what archetype of Jungian Character you are. For example, if you have looping thoughts about massive success and renown or the complete opposite, a strong sense of responsibility and need for belonging (family, community.) If you're a people pleaser or unnecessarily brash in certain situations where you should'nt be.
When you dissect these you can get an elaborate view of whats going inside you. Then by the force of will and meditation practices you must remove the dross that is negative (the shadow) and integrate it positively into the self (The sun/Lucifer i.e willpower and action).
The dross is often comprised of a pervasive fear of certain things, a pervasive longing for certain or a pervasive repulsion to certain things (ex- fear of change and taking risks.) Whatever it might be ,you will understand the themes that are running your life. And all the microprocesses and macroprocesses that is leading your life to. Then using discernment you have to weed out the dross and accentuate the good using meditation, runes, mantras or any simple self hypnosis.
This will lead to individuation. But you must have a self to create in mind that you are constantly evolving towards. Meaning just self helping yourself to complete material tasks or money does not mean self individuation.
For example ,Self Individuation for a person might mean one who has realized that in his nature, there is a deep feeling of wanting to belong and serve, and provide structure both for yourself and others. Which then leads him to become a provider to a family or a wife to her husband and take care of the children.
A person with a deep desire for recognition and fame may do something to garner that such as becoming and influencer or a singer. A lot of this comes from discernment of the daily themes, emotions and pervasive thoughts one has.
That is not to say the person might not have multiple themes. But there are always certain major ones which is in your nature. Which you might already know by astrology but will confirm through journaling.
I instinctively understood all of this by meditating on myself, watching some random podcasts and thinking about myself. I discovered the words to describe this through some videos on Jung.
If you want to know more about the Archetypes you should read Jung's books. However i can't recommend anything as i haven't read them myself. Maybe someone here who has can recommend that.
Thats all there is to it. Though this will just be the start about a process that will last a lifetime.
