Just a "trick" that may help someone..obviously addiction is a mind problem, your true Self would never want that shit, you want the opposite (Temperance).
I've been on drugs since i was 14, the last six years have been a fucking heroin nightmare, so unfortunately i know what i'm talking about.
Anyway, i've gone cold turkey 40something days ago and i never felt better. The mind process that helped me is this:
whenever you feel like using something, you just focus on the Solar Plexus Chakra, and you remind yourself that NOTHING will ever feel better than having that, even if you're still developing, and using is going backwards, and throwing yourself (literally) away. I know it sounds semplistic but that's because it IS simple. Normal people are stuck in a mind loop so they find it hard or even impossible to not dwell in negative emotions and subsequentially actions, but i'm sure everybody here (if they need so) can easily take their life back. Understanding the value of sobriety is also a good thing. It really is amazing to be free again!

One has to leave his thug friends to quit drugs, at least in my case. They aren't real "friends" anyway.

This can bring loneliness, maybe knowing new people throw hobbies can be the way.

Anyway, be proud of everyday you passed without drugs. Now you know more about yourself, and you will have more motivation in life.

I've heard that going 'cold turkey' is dangerous, because the person seems to rely on the substance, and quitting too quickly, instead of weaning-off, can actually kill them.
