as usual, i impulsively posed questions to which i found answers alone

like every night i woke up because of the cold and confused + unable to get back to sleep i wanted to avoid the individual research and ask to try to sleep and "wake up with the answers"

needless to say that i then changed my plans

No, it won't fry the brain, but it could weaken your immune system, as the body has to compensate for the heat loss with its own energy. Strengthen Lung Qi with exercise or supplements to avoid a winter cold.

Regarding the will, people use cold to train themselves. Cold showers or other sudden exposures to cold force the body to have a strong yang compensation, which promotes wakefulness. This is different from a long exposure where energy is sapped slowly.

When you ask if the air is cold, do you mean like mildly cold within a house, or somewhere outside? If only mildly cold, I would not worry, especially if you have access to ways to boost your energy. I would be more cautious about going outside for long periods, and in these cases you are better off wearing a mask or scarf for this.
