Greetings.

Today I finally did the Dedication Ritual after more than 2.5 years of being being here in the Joy of Satan.

Thing is, there were many blunders during the ritual (being interrupted once, accidentally burning plastic, using blood of my left palm and not of my index finger, burning only half of the paper because of intense smoke, etc.).

But, I did write the prayer, I did burn the candle, I did sign my name in blood, I did say "So mote it be. HAIL SATAN!" at the end of the ritual.

Does it count?

Yes, of course, and it really does not matter where specifically you take the blood from as it is the same blood in any case. I believe it has been instructed as so because for most people most of the time that is an easy place to draw a small amount of blood from.

Welcome brother and bon voyage on the wonderful path of Spiritual Satanism

What were your intentions? How were you feeling during the ritual? Do you feel that Dedication Ritual you did makes you officially a Satanist?

All technicalities aside, just honestly answer to yourself what was your true will? It to join The Family then yes, it counts.

Oh, I actually did experiment the first time without using blood(I just don't like it), and i do personally think it worked anyway, albeit,i did repeat after 1-2 days, with blood(a tiny amount), just for safety <

with that said,in the end, what truly matters is the intention you put in the affirmations, the oath you are making... you could put All the blood you want, liters of it,and burn Thousands of candles, but if you don't truly believe in what you're doing,in the affirmations you're making,in what you're signing for, the whole process would be utterly useless, i do presume, and the gods would definitely know about the lack or not, of intention <

and even if you have a very powerful motivation on said specific event, you still gotta be very careful in the future, you gotta keep said motivation high throughout the months and years, otherwise there's always the risk of kind of slipping out of the path, and potentially breaking the oath, for one reason or another(enemy manipulation/fear/social pressure etc...) albeit i guess that once a "contract" of that kind is made with true determination , to truly go back and totally regress to what you were before, it would be nearly impossible...once you are "awake", to get back to "sleep" again, is something that i cannot possibly fathom, honestly <

in the worst case scenario possible, i could potentially kind of tolerate (((xians))) and any other (((jewish/abrahimistic))) crap, again, like a meek Weakling, for some time, but deep down, i would always know, the truth about all of this...what has been seen, cannot be unseen...i would just eventually end up fighting again spiritually while pretending to be tolerant, publicly <

and that's all i had to say, on this topic <

so to conclude: congratulations, brother, that's one of the best decisions you could make, and it's a good thing that you took your time, aka a couple of years, and therefore, you didn't do it in a hurry...that's wise, indeed <

My Dedication Ritual was pretty much a disaster (way worse than you did) and It worked.. i'm sure it's all almost all about intentions

Yes, it's fine. Welcome.

My dedication wasn't perfect either. I think the most important parts are the note, blood, signature and prayer, and of course the intention. I think burning the note sends it into the astral.

Welcome to the Family, Brother. 🙂

I think one of these days HP.Cobra should change the dedication ritual. To instead of _insert name_ to put a fingerprint. I recall someone mentioning use a diabetics lancet since it's very sharp and draws blood easily.

And push your finger into the paper and leave a fingerprint.

State the dedication petition and state your name over _insert name_ but with your fingerprint as the blood marker instead of a printed name.

I think it's much better and easier. Plus it feels better at least in my mind it feels more professional.

Also I have my own issue with dedication when I did it over two decades ago. I forgot to state Hail Satan! and So Mote it Be!

But don't worry O.P. it works. BTW I forgot to mention it's permanent in other words once done even if you de-dedicate the Gods leave you alone but it's still a binding contract permanently.

I personally believe that from magical point of view the essential steps in Dedication Ritual are:

1. Writing a prayer on a piece of paper.
2. Signing it with your name using your own blood (amount is not important).
3. Burning the paper.

Besides, of course, intention and will.

In rare cases when someone is unable to perform whole ritual (steps described above) due to different circumstances, altered form of Dedication Ritual is acceptable until one is able to perform ritual once again in its full form.

Nevertheless, if you are reading these words and consider dedicating yourself then follow every step of Dedication Ritual

But after all it's not up to us to judge if the ritual is valid as the things are between the one who dedicates and Satan himself.
