Hello everybody,

I have noticed that many newbies struggle to learn from the JoS site. Mainly because in my opinion, it's more like a reference and doesn't provide in-depth instruction about many important topics. For example, the Astrology section has info on signs, aspects and planets, but it doesn't provide info on things like the purpose and history of astrology, instructions for newbies on how to read your chart or other specific info to look out. And, what's totally missing is predictive astrology, like solar arcs, solar and lunar returns, progressions and transits. There's zero mention of these things or any explanation on how could they be done, and it's important because many people want to learn how to predict their future using astrology and get informed about any Saturn transits or other imporant upcoming events in their life.

Then, there are other topics that deserve an entire book to explain them but the JoS only provides a single page or a small section, such as Tarot, chakras, communicating with the dead or Runes. Other important parts, like how to develop your astral senses don't even have a page dedicated to them, only some references in regards to some small clairvoyance chakras over your head.

So, it's good as a reference, but many people struggle to learn from it.

On the other hand, I see New Age publishers and organizations not only have written detailed books (more than 300 pages each) on those topics, but they also have in-depth online courses (they charge a lot for them, but that's not the point).

So what I propose is that people who are knowledgeable about these topics and practice them or they have researched them, could create courses so that the new people can learn better. It could be in an external website, with a name like "JoS University" and the courses can be in a video, audio or written form.

Some topics to consider explaining in detailed courses are:
  • The basics of Satanism and how to get started
  • The history of Satanism and its ancient roots
  • Power Meditation
  • Chakras
  • Runes
  • Astrology
  • How to develop your astral senses and communicate with the Gods
  • Tarot and other forms of divination
  • Magick (Especially money magick, as it's what many people are interested in)
  • Spiritual warfare
Most of these topics (yes, including how to communicate how to communicate with and see astral entities like Demons) can be learned from non-Satanic sources, but it would be great to not have to depend on them. Even if one doesn't know much about them, one could theoretically spend a year or more reading non-Satanic books about the topic they're interested in, joining courses about that topic and practicing all they have learned and then come here to teach about it.

Just think about my idea, and don't accept or dismiss it lightly, but consider if and how it could transform JoS to a better state.

Everything is being expanded. It's already been mentioned that I am expanding the astrology section, and that is all I will mention for now :)

As far as I know, sites are being updated for this exact purpose.
Having more people work on these guides would run the risk of diminishing their quality. Which is why there are few people working on actually writing content for the sites, mostly Clergy.
That being said, a more dedicated site to practicing with more streamlined things is a good idea.

I'm curious to see how this topic develops.

I think this is a fair concern and at the same time us as members can contribute on it.

Choose a subject and make it your study, with all the respect and admiration there's only as fast as the clergy can go with this and we can ease everything by individual research and sharing what we concluded.

It might take years to come with useful and unique material but this is what makes it valuable, you've grown as a person in order to help both yourself and others.

Some of the website's info is also very outdated (references to Zitchin, the mining gold stuff, enemy Nordics) and I'm sure other stuff as well.

You have expressed exactly what I have been thinking for a long time. Unfortunately, JoS lacks a lot of information on very important topics such as divination methods, runes, and numerology. There are just a few hints, but they don't go in-depth. I have read the entire PDF on astrology by Azazel, but it's not enough to be able to properly read transits or a return on my own. I really hope that some experienced user or the Clergy will create comprehensive video tutorials for beginners. I am eagerly awaiting updates from HPS Lydia!

Everything is being expanded. It's already been mentioned that I am expanding the astrology section, and that is all I will mention for now :)

Thank you for everything you do for us High Priestess Lydia. :)

This will definitely be amazing as I planned to circle back to and improve my knowledge of astrology to better overcome some obstacles.

I can't wait for this! This is wonderful News ! Thank you!! 🙏 🙏 🙏

Also dream interpretation is topic that should be more investigated and more informed in spiritual satanism.
I agree. Since there are many different dreams, it should at least give some light, or a starting point. A few months ago I was dreaming about a deceased loved one, and I was able to understand well what these dreams wanted to tell me, they don't always leave the answer explicit, A slightly deeper analysis of the dream should be done.

Ya, this has been a problem. For these reasons, the JOS acts more so as an introduction. This is something we can work on together as a community.

TBH if it were just an introduction and people recommended external books, this wouldn't be a serious problem. But if you really notice, in all the threads where someone asks "are there any books you recommend to learn more about SS and other things?" all members reply "you don't need any book, just read the JoS site, it has everything you need".

Not only those who ask about general books about SS, but those who ask about books on specific topics get told "you don't need books, read the JoS section on Astrology/Magick/Meditation/whatever else".

So, people treat the JoS site as if it contains all knowledge about SS and all relevant topics, even though it has shortcomings. So you either have to recommend other books for people to read or you have to improve the site and add more knowledge if you want to treat it as if it contains everything.

You're right. Technically the site won't be able to contain "everything", or even close to it. The site's material might be enough for some people, but plenty of people do in fact go further than the site describes. Ideally one would be able to communicate with the gods and have direct tutelage from them, but many don't.

If you want to do something about it, we can start fleshing out the material JOS never covered yet ourselves. We could later present the material to the clergy and have it reviewed officially. Personally, I'm down to get into anything, "for science" as they say. No holds barred.

You don't have the discernment both spiritually and materially to practice shit in books until you get a mastery over the basics, which can take years.

Do you genuinely have open Chakras you can use for powerful workings?
Have you gotten good with trance?
Do you have years of experience with God Rituals?
Can you feel the effects of cleaning and protection as you do it, as in literal energy?
Asanas also take years to master.

There are also dozens of meditations that take ages to master.

What exactly do you "need" that is external? At some point this is just looking for shortcuts instead of doing the work.

JoS Donors is where that "help" and "shortcuts" are, so get really good at certain skills and use those skills for JoS, or just use your advancement to make some nice money and donate some.

If you are asking about me, I'm a SS for almost 20 years and I have read both the JoS site as well as many other books that go into more detail about different topics mentioned on JoS. I'm a well-studied person and pretty spiritually advanced. You aren't really talking with a newbie here who hasn't done what you are asking.

Also, like most others had trouble with the instructions on JoS when I was new because they don't explain things clearly or go into much detail.

For example, as the original post said, one of the common things that people ask is how to communicate with the Gods. People often give the vague answer "just open your astral senses, bro". There isn't anything written on JoS about that other than a minor page on clairaudience chakras.

Yet, what if I told you that I learned much more from New Age books about intuition that tell exactly how to communicate with their "angels" and not merely give a vague reply "just open your astral senses"? Hell, their advice is simpler and easier than that and works.

Another thing: Astrology is a vast and complex matter that can take more than 10 years to learn and master, as HP Maxine said. Yet you expect people to only learn about astrology from 10 reference pages in the JoS site? Really?

Which is why you either have to recommend books or to improve the site.

Also, many new people try those things mentioned and don't seem to go anywhere and lose patience. They really don't know what to do. The JoS site doesn't really mention anything about that.

But what if I told you that from the many external books I studied I gathered knowledge that fills all those gaps?

For example, when I was new I was like "am doing it wrong?" when I was meditating. I didn't know what to do and how to be sure I'm doing it right, until I read mainstream books on meditation. They really explain how there is no such thing as wrong and right meditation, and all it matters is that you practice it. They also mentioned that wondering if you are doing it wrong is merely more left brained thinking and doubt and you should merely observe these doubtful thoughts and disregard them.

Now that's some advice that nobody on JoS really told me that greatly impacted my spiritual progress!

And the JoS donors thing you mentioned, really? You mean JoS is a pay-to-advance thing now? That you can't advance spiritually if you don't pay money? HP Maxine never intended it to be like that at all, she always said the basic knowledge should be free to everyone.

Those of us who go further than the site describes do actually read other books and sites other than JoS. :)

Which is why my main point was about those members who tell people to read the JoS and nothing else. If I only read the JoS I wouldn't be where I am today. I can't explain it, but reading other material gives you an expanded perspective. It fills some missing gaps you may have.

That's why people here should not shy away from recommending other books.
