On the JOS home page there's a baphomet/pentagram with symbols or letters at each point. What do they mean are they letters of some alphabet?

They are Sumerian cuneiform spelling "Satan". The logo will be updated.

The symbol the JoS has on its homepage was created back in 2001 by HPS Maxine Dietrich in order to publish the real truth about Satanism and its origins.

The logo will be further updated by HPHC to the Satanas logo, and Joy of Satanas Ministries, Satanas basically meaning the Greek name for Satan.
