Personally I allways had good times when I wrote at my altar.

I find usefull to write the Ethics and other Sacred text such as Al-Jilwah, or even sermons that are important for me.

It's just amazing to have a book with all the knowledge you might need. Writing can also help with learning, I had a similar benefit from translations.

Then you can read that with the light of a candel after meditation. It's a unique experience.

You just need materials and to find your order and style.

Just something I wanted to share, maybe some imputs for someone (?)

I completely agree with you. Writing down certain important things helps not only to memorize them, but also to "make these concepts personal." Furthermore, the physical gesture of rewriting things by hand brings memorization to multiple levels.

I have this experience when I have to, for example, memorize the Thai names of Muay Boran techniques (the martial art I practice). It helps to repeat these names out loud, but if I couldn't write them down myself it would be difficult.

Perhaps keeping certain things in a personal book of shadows where we can jot down certain notions that make us superior beings, ethics and commandments of Satan contained in the Al Jilwah along with some knowledge or motivational phrases contained in the sermons may be appropriate.

Often our beloved High Priest HoodedCobra666 and our beloved High Priestess Lydia bring us motivations for personal improvement that change our lives in the moment, but after an hour of closing the sermon page we have already forgotten what we have read without that we had time to implement the important phrases in our lives. The mind and memory tend to make these kinds of errors.

Therefore, having a place to find certain statements, having them at hand, being able to reread them, perhaps even jotting down notes on what we felt and thought while reading these sermons and how we can connect them to what we are experiencing, could make the difference especially for a Satanist who is at the beginning.

I want to add a note, do a bath before writting Holy texts.

Then I want to ask, I have stamped some Rituals and other texts, but I no longer have the editor to produce them in series with the same style. I won't trow them away of course, but they will probably stay for the eternity in a book I have for this purpose.

I'll go better to write with hand and a pencil.

Then I have a candle, it's almost at its end, but some drops fallen on the table. What should I do? Should I trow them, or should I burn them until they disapear? Also I am not capable of finishing the whole candel properly, but I don't want to trow it away.
I used that for Rituals and Satan Psalm.

I'll use this thread to also give some advices that I found useful for my self.

These are related to my current knowledge, you may find someting useful, or you may correct me.
These might be personal and not work for everyone, since we are different.
I'll update as time goes.


During the end of a work, it may be a square, purification or whatever ritual or meditation. I say Hail Satan!! and Hail (the God who helped me)!!

When I do this I'm focusing on getting closer to reality and to feel myself in the hierarchy, and to feel the God presence.
It's related to the Virtue of Respect for the Gods.
Mine here is an idea to follow it.

Then at the end of the day I kneel before my altar in respect and reverence to thank Satan, the Gods who helped me, and the Powers of Hell. And I do a little introspection on weak points and winnings.

My therapist said, writing by hand triggers different areas of the brain, so it's different than writing with an electronic device.
I often write by hand and pen important stuff, and I notice how the text is highly charged with personal energies, rather than a post or an email. I think that writing by hand activates more emotional area of the brain so is sort of more "unconscious". Just my 2 cents,

Everyone is different. I personally prefer electronical. It's way more quicker for me to write and easier to arrange stuff in the notes the way I like it. Making it easier for me.

I really like this topic. I'm getting through a time of my life were writing is really helping me understand better the things that hold me down.
Sometimes i write rants, sometimes it is poetry, but by reading in between the lines of what is left written by me i can understand myself better.

When i enter in a state of medium trance i always see very common places (mainly an immense ocean). Whenever i look at this ocean i always find the right words to write. Maybe they come from an image that i pick from there (some leafs being taken by the waves, for an example).
When this happens it is like the words will simply came out of me and I start writing very fast.

Combining this with daily aura and chakra purification has really helped me getting a better understanding of myself.

Speaking of poetry, i feel that is a touch of gold upon your own words. It can come from you not only connecting to your true beauty, but by connecting to the Gods, in both cases briefly elevating your own self. If you have experienced this you can understand how poetry can bring you closer to yourself and even help you know the gods better.

Poetry can be usefull, but don't focus only on that, you don't know everything.

With more knowledge you can write better poetry, but you have to study for that.

Here I was talking more about writing to learn, but still poetry is good.

I do not feel advanced enough to call myself a poet. Much study is still required.

The few pieces of poetry that i have written during tough times had helped me understand better a connection to my guardian Demon. It was very subtle.

If i can give any advice to whoever reads.
I think one should write first of all.
