Erebus is found in Greek mythology, where he “lived in the ‘Tartarus’ or ‘realm of death,’ where Hades resided as ”chief.”

Erebus is a representation of the darkness that lies in the depths, similar to Nyx representing the night, where his passage with his “cloak” covered the sky bringing darkness, the night.
