Weld test during a Void of course moon

Ive been going at it for several months now in a welding boot camp at our apprenticeship program. The training itself started when the moon was in gemini..the actual 3 day event the proctors come and watch people test startes on a VOC moon next tuesday.

the last time i took a weld test and failed it was in the hour of saturn. It almost cost me a job untill i was able to take a different type.

Thing is if i do my test tuesday it will be during the hour of the sun and on tuesday (marsday) of which both are good to what this partains to AND ive been doing a materian sun square.

I REALLY need to find work soon and have been investing on getting up to speed for tube papers for months now. i don't want to fuck up the timing. Could i still make it tuesday with out any fuckups happening that are beyond my control or should i ask what my options are to take it on one of the other 2 days? it would be around the hours of mars or sun then as well, with the moon in aries.

That void moon is also over Scheat star for anyones reference who replies here. I don't think void moon promises someone will fail or that moon is the only placement of something that matters though.

It simply means outcome may not be as expected usually when dealing with an event.

It may be a time to get away with things or do something you normally would not be available to do.

It may be the moon when you started this whole training thing is what matters and not just the moon on the testing date.

if you dont mind me asking..what type of fabrication do you do? MIG..TIG..or ARC welding? structural steel or Aluminium?? Its nice to hear that another member here does fabrication. Ive been getting into it more lately as i used to weld on my previous employment. But since my last job interview didnt go down to well, Ive been looking to do more welding from home as a side business. Do you have any of your own projects you are working on?. Welding is a great career and i highly recommend going for it bro. It can be very challenging at times but rewarding at the same time. I find it highly addictive!!, I wish you well and im pretty sure you you will do just fine. All the best mate!!

I do it all. i can also fit and fabricate and operate machenery so im a bit of other things besides the welder. Ive welded aluminum a couple times..sounds and smells like shit. i do all welding processes but Tig is my fav. ive welded carbon and stainless, hastelloy, inconel once, and some alu. pipe and plate all positions. ive worked in shops and in the field. i prefer out in the field. especially when you get on inconel stainless hastelloy ect and all that other exotic shit get you those pancake filters for a mask that will fit under the welding hood and also for grinding. i need to get me one again too. you only got two lungs. or get you one of those hoods with a filter..they will be more expensive but worth it. practical though for the shop but not out in the field.

ive been welding for 8 years and just now joined an apprenticeship because union makes better money and gives pension. you also get a better balance between work and home life.

ive done some of my own projects in the past, as recreationonal art projects. i have pictures but cant share for personal reasons. one was a candy pot i made and another was for something i made for my ex bf. the first thing i made was something i cut out of a sheet of metal with oxyfuel and sent it to him all the way from Tx to NL haha.

the most i made was when i welded storage tanks in Alberta...40 bucks an hour. and the Canadian dollar was stronger then. if you can pipeline, weld pipe in general, and or get field work you will make better money.

learn to weld left and right handed and to fit in tight spaces it will go along way. Also when you TIG a piece of tube or pipe backfeed that wire for the root esp for the bottom! it comes out perfect everytime.

I was put in juvie at 13 for wanting to light shit on fire and now i get to do it everyday :lol:

Wow very impressive so your bit of an all rounder. And you enjoy Tig thats awesome. Here in Australia Tig welders are more highly sought after. As its not as straight forward as mig welding. Some people just either dont have the patience or they struggle with technique. Here in Australia if you are good at Tig you get welding work anywhere.
Even better if you can Tig weld Aluminium. As alot of guys ive worked in the industry here just really struggle with it. Due to it being very soft to weld with. I started off in the industry as being a machine operator. I then caught the eye of my workshop manager at the time while i decided to practice welding with one of the senior guys in my workshop every hour before work started. In turn i was approached eventually and made a Trade assistant to the senior fabricators. Then once i learned off them, i was put through as an apprenticeship for several years, then eventually trade qualified after that.
I worked as a heavy metal fabricator for about 15 years. In my field i am what you would call a confined-space fabricator.
I used to do alot of fabrication work on LPG trucks, oil and and petrol tank trucks (diesel, petrol and Aviation fuel) My last contract i worked on the Australian Army's Petrol and Aviation tankers building up new and existing chassis. Then i became a heavy metal & structural engineer in the industry for about 6 years....

With your welding exam do they x-ray your welds??..
Wow Storage tanks!!...Ive done a few in my career. That would of been a cool gig.

Hahaha the Pancake filters!...we dont use those here in Australia. We find those things hilarious!. Ive never ever tried them myself so wouldnt know how effective it is. I guess down under here we can be a bit ignorant to American and canadian standards. But i guess if it makes your welds better, nothing funny or wrong about that!.
