hello everyone, i wanted to clear up this doubt because i often get complexes when it comes to this topic. there is a tv series that i particularly love and yet i recently discovered that the main actor is jewish. i don't care much about him but that is my comfort series so i would be sad not to watch it anymore. what can you tell me about it?
Finish the series, you're basically addicted to it till it ends, then try to not get hooked into another series. You can also "get out" when a season ends.
I've been there, but yeah don't let the fact that one of characters is jewish ruin your feelings for it, jews have ruined enough things already.
but what if I just watched it because I like the series? I mean, I don't care about the main character, it's the setting of the series and the themes that I like. can I still watch it?

Tv series are often not the best way to satisfy entertainment needs, pure entertainment is basically useless in our lives, so than I should advise not to watch it. But at the end of the day, just because there is a Jewish person in it, it won't deal greater damage to you, than if there would be no Jews in it. Just don't emphasize with the actor itself and you'll be just fine. The more dangerous part is what the series convey and program into you.
Anything you'll watch have at least a jewish actor.
If you lile a character from a story, you don't like the person, but what he/she is interpreting. The person can be the worst of his kind (jew and non-jew) but interpret a nice character and people would love him/her.
My suggestion is to not be afraid of what you are watching. Just now that that person is jewish and do not symphathize much around him.
The actors, actresses, directors, producers, executives, assistants, best boys (electric and grip), Foley artists, caterers, vets (if needed), camera workers, boom mic operators, lighting technicians, other workers and all those on and behind the sets, including the advertisers and the TV channel or streaming service owners and all of their workers, and the TV announcers, etc., etc., etc., don't know you, they don't care about you, they don't know anything about you, they don't know that you exist... and their work is your comfort. Rely on yourself and actual real people who matter in real-life. Then you can be happy, instead of relying on the real-life ignorant, distant, uncaring people who you follow but who don't follow you, and instead of relying on the fake people in a fantasy story.
This next bit is too offensive

As for entertainment - well, I realise the entertainment industry isn't all that entertaining. "That's how you're going to be entertained."

The people behind the scenes (actors, directors, etc) may not know the OP *personally*, but they are well aware of his existence as a person, because it's thanks to the people that the media production gets its views, money, etc.
As for entertainment itself, it is a peculiar topic because as humans, we do have the need for stories and storytelling, in one way or another. Mythology also exists to pass messages to us by the Gods. If humanity didn't have the need for stories, the Gods' messages would simply be in mathematical formulas and whatnot.
Also, I find it quite rude to say that only children and immature people need "comfort blankets." You don't know where another person comes from, you don't know their family background or how stressful their everyday life is. You also don't know if they have people surrounding them that are supportive or not. There are many conditions you don't know about another person, so your response is rather immature.

I've also had this issue before, so many times, I grew tired of it. As others said, there's not a single media outlet (especially movies/ series) that will not have a jew in it - even more so, in a main role. So, now that you know about it, just don't emphasize with this character, and it's no issue.
But also, I have found it useful (and at times it helped me in self-awareness) to question why I like a specific movie or series. There are some very, very poorly written stories out there, who nonetheless get a lot of traction.
Some time ago, I enjoyed a messed up series because I liked a character until I stopped and questioned what it was that I enjoyed about it. When I realized how many bad messages the series gave me, I stopped watching it immediately.
Watching less crappy stories = giving less crappy information and messages to your brain, and also = giving less traction to the specific series, so the editors/ script writers, etc, will hopefully realize that "this doesn't sell," so they'll be forced to try something different next time.

If I may say so, I think you have expressed your opinion in a very exaggerated way.
It is not fair to say that only immature people watch series and rely on "comfort blankets," as in their own free time everyone is free to do what they want. Someone may like to draw, another to read and yet another to play video games, there is no free-time activity more "intellectual" than the other. Please remember that there are also very young people on this forum who are more sensitive than others and reading words like the ones you used could hurt them.
Which then, what reasoning is that of "actors don't know you so what do you care?". I don't know how old you are, But you really never happened to be a big fan of a singer or actor when you were younger?
Let's always remember to be nice, please
P.s. I agree with what Yagami Light said. Just don't bond with the actor/Singer in question and maybe ask yourself some questions about the series and what are the messages that it sends and if it's really worth watching.

thank you so much for answering me, also I agree with you on the topic of entertainment. I don't feel personally immature I just like to take some time for myself doing what I like, which can be: cooking a dish, watching a movie, cleaning my room or taking care of myself. watching series or movies or reading a book I think is important both for our mind and to disconnect a bit from everything, maybe after a very hard day at work

i'll pretend i didn't even read the part where you try to offend people for watching movies or series. but i think it was a bit too much of you to even say these things to me. i think watching movies is part of human life, and i think it helps develop the "fantasy" part of our brain. anyway i thank you anyway for your opinion. for me it's not a "comfort blanket" but it's just a hobby. some people like to draw, some like to read or write books and some like to watch movies, i don't see anything wrong with that

They certainly are not aware of people's existence. I know many Gods and Goddesses exist but I am not aware of their existences. I know many jews exist, but I don't know of the jewish people's existence. All they know is that many people who consume their jewish products exist - free, unlimited viewers; free, unlimited money; free, unlimited resources, to continue their jew influences.

Of course. There are many fables and legends, etc. I know story is used to convey messages and meanings that we understand. In my posts, I speak in example and metaphor a lot.

I wasn't speaking absolutely about all of life. I was speaking about the entertainment industry. We have to realise what scale we're talking - entire life and existence, or specifics. Ultimately, we don't need comfort blankets, because we can, and do, learn to be better and learn to improve and be proud and grow our own self-worth; specifically, people have had to go through many problems and need support. A TV programme in the (((media))) is not a decent idea for comfort. A member mentioned Nirvana ages ago, saying how good the composition of music is. Perhaps that was their comfort; members, including myself, replied saying it's no good with all the negativity, depression, etc., in the lyrics. I wonder if you replied to that thread, and what you said; or if not, what you might have said. See if it aligns with what you are saying here. Some people like or liked Linkin Park. We here would argue it is not good to listen to due to the lyrics and negative affirmations, yet people have used it for comfort to help them out of shit. It might be cathartic, but it shouldn't be comfort. The makes of media don't care about us; if not us, then someone else can be a sheep to their media.
We can grow to not need comfort in strangers' (that being, jewish) things. Instead, we can have our own, stand on our own, stand up for ourself, be ourself. It's not always easy, but it's also not impossible.
I probably expressed myself badly. With "comfort show" I meant that that is my favorite series. in particular it is a series set in London. London is my favorite city, the city where I hope to go and live one day. watching that series makes me feel closer to the city of my heart

It looks like I said some things stupidly instead of correctly again. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I also have favourites in... [cough] media [/cough]. We can be influenced too easily, even if we are trying consciously to not be influenced by things, it still happens subtly and unconsciously. We have to be careful what we... well... take comfort in, or enjoy or whatever. I don't like this next operative word but you're on your own 'journey'; you do you.
