I want to know what is the difference between thoughtless meditation and lucid dream and astral projection, thanks.

Thoughtless Meditation. By this I assume something along the lines of Void Meditation. This is simply stilling or calming the mind. Closing out all exterior destractions and focusing simply on nothing. This is used to better focus the mind onto one soul objective.

Astral Projection is usually the controled projection of the soul or astral body into the astral realm. That meaning, we have control of our astral body, what we do on the astral, where we go, etc. However astral projection can occur during sleep as well.

Lucid dreams. This is usually the term for what happens when we astral project during sleep. We tend to have more intense and vivid dreams. These are actually images from the astral. But during this we do not have concious control over our astral body, as we would during normal Astral Projection.

I would recomend reading the page "Brainwaves" on the JoS, in the 'Meditations' section. And also taking some time to do some further research on Astral Projection, again on the JoS.

I got to correct the lucid dreaming part. You can astral project from a
lucid dream state, and you can enter lucid dreams from an astral
projection. However, they are not the same thing, rather very close cousins
more so. Lucid dreaming is when you become consciously aware that you are
dreaming, and you most certainly can control not only yourself, but your
entire dream environment. It takes some training to do this, but this type
of dreaming is the basis for a lot of shamanic practices in on every
continent where humans reside. Their reason is that the dreamworld to them
is the real world, a basis where you access unlimited reality, and every
world from that, including this, is a type of dream. By mastering it, they
can walk with unlimited power in this world as they would in normal dreams.
Again, you can use astral projection to enter a lucid dream, and you can
astral project from a lucid dream. But they are not the same thing, and
both rely on control and conscious awareness of where you are. Having more
vivid dreams is a precursor to lucid dreams, not the actual occurrence of
lucid dreams.

I believe you've just answered your own question in the phrase *thoughtless* meditation, thoughtless meditation is just that, sitting down and meditating without any thoughts involved, of course this is how it's supposed to be done anyway sense thoughts just get in the way of meditation. As for astral projecting and lucid dreams, essentially they are the same from my experience except for how realistic they are, lately I haven't had very many lucid dreams, they've just been so overly real as if it's really happening! It's amazing to experience, but takes a whole lot of practice to be able to do, I'm still not able to have any and be in complete control yet. I hope this was helpful for you!
