I have enough anecdotal evidence to share a psychological phenomenon that you may be struggling with, which I, too, to greater or lesser extents, am dealing with.
What I share is not something new that has not been explained by the clergy, and it is recognizable as karma, broadly. However, sometimes it is beneficial to explain something in a different way that makes sense to you, which is why I am sharing an observation that I notice within myself.
As Zevists, we make conscious choices toward bettering ourselves, whether that be the freedom to meditate and do yoga, go to the gym, study, donate, start a business, go to school, or help the TOZ.
However, especially when starting something new that takes time and effort, with every conscious decision you make that is beneficial to yourself and others, there is a subconscious counterforce that tends in the opposite direction, beckoning you toward the forces of entropy—sloth, greed, anger, insecurity, etc.
This oppositional tension can be stronger or weaker depending on your hereditary predisposition, dedication to your will, and habitual make-up, among other things. I think many new Zevists will understand what I mean here, as you are trying to set a routine of meditation and yoga at the expense of what you think you should be doing with your time. This counterforce seeks comfortability in existing thoughts and behaviors, but the longer you impose your conscious desire and act (magic + action), the weaker that counterforce becomes, until it eventually succumbs to your will.
Fortunately, as Zevists, we have the ability to use magic to change our lives, which would otherwise be nearly impossible for the average, godless human being. So, do not neglect the tools at your disposal here. You are only limited by your own ideas of Self.
Anyhow, back to my point, I think it is normal as you advance to feel like you have a shadow self co-varying in the opposite direction. Even a simple thought can have an oppositional counterpart, so, for instance, if you think about how your GD loves you, is kind to you, and wants to uplift you, an untrained mind and dirty soul may manifest a shadow: “Your GD hates you; why would they be kind to you? You are alone.”
Ignore that and continue your path to the Godhead—your GD is literally sent by Father Zevs to make you a God. Anything that isolates you from your GD is not your GD. This is just one example.
Not to derail my point, but internal balance is needed here because the psyche prefers the middle-ness of existence. Too much elation will be counterbalanced by disappointment when the elation is over, and likewise, too much disappointment will have you again seeking elation—a cycle begins.
Overall, stay on the Path of the Gods and defeat the forces that keep you limited in your current existence. Nature does not like it when beings overcome her laws, which is why she creates a failsafe in the form of karma. If you are mortal, you are subject to the mortal laws of nature, and the rebellion against these laws creates a God. Father Zevs and the Gods instruct their children to rise above these laws, despite their existence.
Just some thoughts.
