War is the father of all things. The only way to get what you want in life is to fight for it, and to win at anything demands that you pay more than anyone else. To get the job that you want, you must outperform all other candidates; to have the girl that you want, you must be better than all other men who are interested in her; to buy the house that you want, you must make the highest offer, etc.

Overpaying is the cost of winning; no one else was willing to sacrifice as much as the winner because they didn't think what they were asked to give up was a fair exchange for what they hoped to receive. Therefore, not only do winners pay more than everyone else, they pay more for the good than it is likely worth. This is the economic explanation for why getting what you want often doesn’t make you happy. In general, the cost of winning tends to exceed the value of what you’ve won.

Does that mean winning isn't worth it? The real reward isn’t the achievement of the end goal, rather, it is what you have to become in order to achieve it. Just consider what Olympic athletes have to go through to win. Years of pain, discipline, and hardship cannot be worth the value of a medal—the price is simply too great. It is worth it, however, to realize one’s potential as fully as possible and become the greatest athlete in the world. That’s the real gold—the alchemical process of life. The reward is merely an incentive for you to go through a transformative process to become more than you currently are.

Likewise, the price of Godhood is expensive, as, by definition, the Magnum Opus is the pinnacle of human achievement. There is so much more to it than just immortality, as you need to be a God in mind as well as in body, and a good life is the transformative process which facilitates that. For more information, see The 4 Fundamental Achievements In Satanic Life

If you haven't already, honestly ask yourselves if you are willing to pay that price, and if so, what are you doing about it, and how serious are you? Are you an artist who improves with every drawing, or do you draw the same stick figure every day? If you’re not constantly doing your best, then why even bother? Death is a Virtue for a reason.

Great Jos Guardian, Power of Justice.
You have no idea how much good your words did me. I thank you with all my heart. I hope the Gods reward you for all your efforts. I literally loved what you wrote.

Sacrifice is definitely necessary in life, absolutely. Something I want to add though is that work can be much more enjoyable than one might think too. Once you do a good dopamine detox and reset your mind and dopamine system, you will notice that working, meditating, working out etc. can be much more enjoyable than you thought. Work can be a great source of dopamine. I think many people don't know this, they think it's all miserable and painful and they never even start. Still, hardships will always be a part of life. But eventually one will suffer much more by avoiding work and responsabilities rather than taking care of them!

Momento Mori!

Such writings become even more striking as you live the words in your life.

My father and I were having a conversation about this many months ago, and at the time I had no idea what was going to happen to me. It took me a while to learn that all this work, all this effort, and the high level of stress tolerance that has to be maintained, that sore body when you go to bed because you are tired... has its own peace within.

That's what my father told me. Yes, it is possible to create a brief state of perpetual peace that comes from choosing comfort in life, but true peace is something that comes from doing what is necessary and winning in life. To choose the easy way out, to be left behind, always in the second place, is not something anyone wants, and I am sure that even the most driveless souls fear such a frightening lethargy as much as death, indeed, it is not much different from death.

And we are beings of light. To develop, to rise and to win, all this means, in essence, to become brighter and brighter. It's in our nature, and not being able to fulfil it is like being a Sun that tries to darken itself, or a horse that is forbidden to run. To suppress oneself in this way would be just as disastrous.

Thank you for this short but very valuable article and you have inspired me on this peaceful night.

Working for something you love makes life so much better and seamingly easier. Our Clergy and JG's love what they're doing and they put in the work to bring us something new every day, whether that be direct (announcements, replies, etc.) or indirect (maintenance, moderation, planning new projects, etc.). Me and my team of Greek translators are also actively working to translate ~150 articles, edit them, polish everything, and make our sites of top quality and an example for other translators. This is because we love what we're doing and we sacrifice part of our time for this.

The lesson of [JG] Power of Justice is really important here. Many people do get trapped by stasis. Art is actually a really good example to use.

I've seen people who obsessed with their 'style' that they just keep continuing with the same thing over and over, their skills never improve, 10,000+ hours or not. They never accept anything threatening or new. They cannot abide others criticisms. No evolution.

Other people who are masters at art... I grew up loving this folklore artist who had immaculate lineart and a great style. At some point years ago, they switched to drawing boring Homestuck and Dragon Age art with an unflattering digital style to appeal to thousands of twitter people. Anyone can draw what they please but that's all they ever draw now - fandom art with static pink-haired subjects, mostly bust or head shots. If someone like this could assist the Gods with their talent, they would have meaning in their lives, but they are just coasting through.

I can't even imagine a day without working for the JoS. Even when I'm not writing something, I am thinking about what I'm doing for the JoS and planning my projects or articles that I will write.

Great article, JG Power of Justice :)

Anything that is overpaid, is actually reflected on the soul anyway. When you put in a massive amount of effort to win your goal, this creates more energy and good karma that that ensure that these things will go right for you again.
