A common criticism of SS is that it is like xianity because people here day drugs, race mixing and other things are bad, and this contradicts the idea that it is about freedom. Since this has been repeated many times let me refute it altogether in this thread.
First of all, some things are objectively bad. Jumping a cliff is objectively bad for you. Would you think that someone is imposing to you any rules if he warns you of falling off a cliff? Likewise, smoking is bad. Drugs are bad. They damage your lungs and your brain. But in Spiritual Satanism, we recognize the spiritual damage of these behaviors as well. Smoking, drugs and drinking all create holes in your aura and damage your soul. Race mixing also dilutes the soul and mixed people are more likely to be mentally ill.
In Satanism you're free to do these objectively bad things, but if you think that people advising you that these are bad is like xianity with its absurd rules you need to grow a brain. Xianity's rules are absurd and have nothing to do with bettering your personal life. While this advice in SS is exactly that, advice and not rules, and if you follow it your life will become much better.
There's another thing these people usually overlook: That Spiritual Satanism has a purpose. It's not just doing what you want. By being a SS it means you are working towards a purpose. That is, empowering and transforming your soul and reaching Godhood. So in the light of that purpose, if you are serious about advancing and empowering your soul you will stop any behaviors that stop or delay your spiritual advancement. This criticism would make sense in Laveyan Satanism which has no purpose other than personal feeling of happiness, but it falls apart when we consider the purpose of SS.
Looking at this purpose and the secondary purposes of SS like fighting our enemies, let's consider what kind of person would be better suitable to SS. Obviously to grow spiritually, you need perseverance and self-discipline, strength and willpower. Would you say a drug addict will have these character traits? If a person can't stop smoking or doing a drug, is it logical to think that he will have the strength to reach Godhood? Would a person who is like "don't tell me what to do, I will do what I want" be strong enough to work towards reaching Godhood and fighting the enemies?
So, these people who bring this up have the mind of a 5 year old. They may be fully grown up in the body but they haven't grown up mentally and spiritually. A 5 year old is always like "I want this, I want that" and "don't tell me what to do!".So this brings up an interesting question: That immature person who obsesses too much about freedom, is he really free? Or is he still ruled by his desire to rebel against his dad who didn't buy him an ice cream when he was 5 and hasn't grown up past it?
External freedom is one thing, but there's also internal freedom, which these people ignore or overlook and which is as important as external freedom. You aren't free if you are acting out your emotions without evaluating them, you are more like a programmed robot. Freedom of choice comes when you are fully aware why you're doing what you're doing, because only then are you free to choose the one that is best. If you are doing an action because it feels good, you are a slave to that feeling.
Satanism, as you can see, is a religion for mature people. It's not merely "doing whatever you want" in an immature way. If some immature people don't like it, they are free to leave.
Yes, Spiritual Satanism is about freedom. But it also has a purpose and it's also about improving your life.
