Many Hindus might be familiar with the picture below.

The myth:
During the Samudra-Manthan ( churing of the ocean ) by the Devas and the Asuras to obtain the nectar of immortality, Halahala, a poison powerful enough to destroy all creatures came out. To protect the three worlds, Shiva drank the poison. This caused immense pain and irritation I Shiva's throat. In order to relieve the pain, Goddess Parvati, his consort and wife, offered him bhang ( cannabis ).

There is no direct evidence that shows Shiva smoking cannabis, and is created by the jews. Many arguments are given by people in order to support it, and many people use this picture as an excuse to smoke weed and use other drugs ( psychedelics) to obtain a state of bliss.

Many ancient texts such as the Atharva Veda refers cannabis (bhang) as one of the five sacred plants. This is a lie.

Read these Articles:
Smoke Weed Every Day Goyim - JoS Forums Contributions
About Weed and Smoking - High Priest Hooded Cobra 666

If you have read the above two articles, you might understand that jews have corrupted our ancient texts and filled it with their own bullshit.

In conclusion, the fact that Shiva smoked cannabis is created by the enemy to push the followers to cannabis usage. It is unfortunate to know that many people believe in this lie.
Hail Satan!

Weed causes confusion and thus lack of the exact thing necessary for meditation - concentration.

That is one major thing to point out.

It also makes one much more vulnerable for attacks. Not just Astral ones.

So yeah. Quite important post here for those who think it's spiritual to smoke weed.
It's rather anti spiritual.

Is it? The version I read was that Shiva simply neutralized the poison, that made his troath blue colored. I havent read anything about that causing him pain.

Did He not instead eat it? It is quite a different case from smoking and can be used for healing.
Most of the popular depictions and many sources say that he smoked it. But there are also claims that he consumed it through drinks ("bhang ka ghota" is what they call it in hindi).

It is actually quite popular if you search about it. Though none of the ancient texts have acknowledged it.

Exactly, I have seen many people on the internet and in the real world as well who think spirituality is all about smoking weed and using other drugs to obtain a state of bliss or to enter trance.
I thought I should point it out because when I was new to spirituality, many told me to do the same, it was then that I ended up on ToZ, and I am grateful as I could have made a big mistake.

Honestly, I think it simply symbolizes activating certain parts of the soul after certain events.
