Seeing your own aura?

Okay one more question...when I close my eyes, I often see swirling forms that are purple or yellow--always those colors. Am I seeing my aura? Once a psychic reader told me she saw purple (she said "a very spiritual color") and yellow ("the color of intellect") when she saw me for a tarot reading. The next day, I was meditating and I noticed I could see colors behind closed eyes--purple and yellow. My assumption then, is that she was indeed seeing my aura...anyone know something about this? Can one actually "see" their own aura? Thanks.
 
Yea, you can see your own aura and other's aura's. The different colors respectivly mean different things. Im kinda rusty but I remember reading purple is the aura of most xitans. Yellow, dont remember.

Of course they can. It depends on how powerful your higher chakras are, esp the 6th

aura color isn't a religion, but the reason their aura is that color is
depending on where they are at spiritually. I believe purple means their
third eye is perhaps more active? It doesn't have much if anything to do
with religion.

The color of Xians! Well I certainly am not one of those, and the psychic reader told me purple is "the color of spirituality" so there ya go...and in tarot, yellow signifies air, and the intellect...

Purple generally is a spiritual color. It's been a royal color in many civilizations because their belief of their leaders being either close to "god" or a prophet or a human incarnate of god.

Purple means spiritual authority and yellow is mental activity. They would be the colors corresponding to Satan and Lucifer respectively.

the heart is emotions, and the colors each have emotions connected to them. the heart also controls energy flow. problem solved.
