Ritual vs. Prayer to the gods

What is better, performing rituals or praying to the gods? I know it’s been said that there is an enormous amount of spiritual growth we have to do ourselves that the gods, of course, won’t show us each and every step. I guess some things we have to find out on our own? I have a past in xtardanity which is where I learned of the concept of prayer. I’ve been reading Joy of Satan webpage for several years now, but I’ve been lazy and haven’t performed any rituals. Instead I’ve been trying to talk to Satan instead to let him know of my issues; mainly how I can’t lose weight, no matter how much I exercise or watch my food. That is honestly the only thing I ever bring to his attention. Does anyone have an explanation as to why rituals are better than prayer?

Prayers are okay when you want to speak on a one way channel to a God, but there are no benefits that compare to their rituals.

Rituals will connect you to not just the God or Goddess in a communicative style, but also their domain.

You become better by doing rituals, not prayer.

You can continue to pray but as you admitted, you're just being lazy. Father Satan is not going solve your poblems just because you are asking.

Start meditating and doing what's required. The Gods will guide you.

I performed a ritual for the moment and I must say that I felt the growth very well, it's as if that button had clicked that I found it difficult to press on my own. I feel much closer to the Gods and much richer emotionally speaking. The ritual has no comparison with prayer

Exercise, yes.

When you say "balanced diet," you are probably not tracking your calories and micronutrients.

You need to calculate your TDEE and BMR. Once you have that, eat less than that and you will lose weight combined with exercise.

As for rituals, use a Mars square or the rune Thurisaz. They can speed up your metabolism and build muscle and strength.

What kind of diet are you on? If you’re eating more vegetables then chances are you aren’t losing any weight. You should be on a protein based diet.
