I would say to finish the 40 day program and still work on your empowerment afterwards. Attacking someone can take a lot of time and energy if you're not strong enough for this. Once you know you've built some substantial power, you can then send whatever negative energy and anger you feel you need to as a catharsis. From there, comes healing.
