How would Lord Satan feel about me making icons of him and his demons? Is this tradition originating in xianity?

Positive, any symbols that remind you of the gods are positive.

I say it depends on the icons; if they're creative and detailed, yes, they should be just fine. They can also be used in altars. But if they have the poorly-made, 2D designs of xian icons (especially orthodox xian) that look depressing and soulless, it would be an insult towards the Gods.
