I love Martial Arts, I want to be Martial Artist but death? As a Satanist, should we step into ring with risks of death? Should I keep going on my fighting way or give up? I am always thinking about fighting, I love it but I am afraid of a knee which can break my skull and kills me...

Hi I also love martial arts and know them quite well.

What you think is wrong, you don't go to martial arts to get in the ring. This sport is not to fight with others, but it is to fight against your lower self.

There are different martial arts, Karate is great for those who want a more schematic but at the same time flexible approach, Kung Fu (it is a collection of many styles) is great for those who are looking for some fluidity in their strikes and movements. Jeet Kune Do makes you realize what real strength is. Aikido is extremely useful for its teachings.

Conversely, if you were thinking about boxing or kickboxing or something similar, they are good sports, but they don't give you the teaching that a real martial art can give you: that is, learning to control yourself.

Practicing a martial art does not necessarily imply that you will get hurt. Then in the end, it may happen but never anything serious.

The important thing is to practice with the right mindset and without the fear.

Martial arts, when seriously practiced, elevates the mind and spirit so in confrontations, it is more a matter of subduing your opponent at the spiritual level through physical actions, rather than cracking his bones.
It depends on the martial art you choose, I do not know details, but it's not like the mainstream media show to people "all physical".

There are old martial artists who have trained since children and are masters

What matters is the teacher one gets for these types of styles. Modern times has proven kickboxing to be more affective than what you've stated, granted those types of fighting styles you mentioned are hard to find that aren't taught by those that just want money from their students.

Any type of fighting style will teach control and discipline. Things like Tae Kwon Do has more of a system than kickboxing but that flies out the window with a bad teacher.

As long as one has the spiritual mindset, they will find any type of legitimate fighting style will hone in their martial tendencies.

As for the OP, mainstream martial art world is all about flashiness and just hurting others for the sake of money. The spirit is gone at these levels. You can still be a master without getting into that world ie the martial art masters who teach in old temples in the Far East.

At the end it's your choice and one can just do extra and specific protection for themselves if the choice is to get in the ring for money and take that to a higher level.

And that....is how we got bullshido and Mcdojo martial arts. I've actually noticed that people who meditate are actually the most successful in martial arts. But sadly, there are many dojos out there that are just outright scams taught by the non-spiritual.

No instead you are wrong.

The styles I mentioned bring more benefits than just throwing punches and kicks. There is a whole study of setting in these disciplines. I practiced Karate for many years and also practiced Kickboxing. I can assure you that, contrary to what you say, I gained more stability and control as well as flexibility with Karate. In contrast, when I did the Kickboxing period, my "teacher" tried to squeeze out as much money as possible, forcing us to buy uniforms that he ordered. He would do the ordering and buying and we had to hand over the money to him. He never showed us the receipt, not even once. Above all, he didn't leave me any valuable teaching.

Instead when I had to leave Karate, my masters allowed me to keep everything, the uniforms, all my belts, gloves and duffel bag. Everything they left me.

But most importantly, they imparted teachings to me that I will carry with me for life. They taught me how to calm my mind and achieve a serenity of mind. Also several techniques that are not found on youtube.

So if you want to dispute what I say that's fine, but everything I have written is from direct experience.

It's unfortunate you were swindled out of your money.

This is what I meant by bad teachers.

If one is young and inexperienced then spotting this early can be difficult.

You have not met all teachers all over the world and letting your anecdotal evidence cloud your judgment while at the same time you proved I was 100% correct that with a bad teacher one will not get far into body control and good discipline.

There are outstanding kickboxing teachers who also have a lot of experience from other type(s) of martial arts they went far in but unfortunately there are those that just run a social club. Usually one can take a free course and feel it out for themselves if the place is right or not.

This is also what I learned (even if I am sort of beginner), my teacher left me a very deep teaching on how to use the mind that reflected on my meditations too, in a positive way (more focused, right to the point).
I chose Wing Chung as it's a "soft" martial arts, as I a not that young and I have some physical weaknesses. It is a good discipline if you want to avoid cruel confrontations, at least based on what I learned.

I was, now I am not. It served as a lesson for me: in the bad, I took a positive aspect.

I get your point and I agree with you: many teachers only think in terms of money. But not all of them. I was lucky enough to have real teachers.

I hope the OP will have the same luck.

In any martial arts, as in any sports, there are risks of death, but if you stick to the necessary training, the risks of accidents and death are minimal.

To protect yourself, I recommend that you build a powerful aura of protection every day.
