This may sound silly but I need to share it. I met a guy and we started talking, he showed interest first, then me, but over time it seemed that only I wanted it, but we never stopped talking and he was always answering me, out of nowhere he seems super more interested, he didn't ask me to date or anything, but we treat each other as if we were, we're in different countries so we don't see each other and the age difference is 8 years (I'm younger than him) his past upsets me a lot because he used to be with a lot of people, he used to drink and he's used drugs (not nowadays, only when he was "discovering" life) I think he's a good person with a good heart, I've tried to stop talking to him twice but he still comes back and wants to continue with me, we're different, in style and everything but we just get on well. The problem is that I don't have feelings for him anymore but I can't let him go, I'm very young and I want to enjoy life too, I want to go out with people and have fun. He said a few days ago that this could happen because he's already had this phase and I denied that it wouldn't happen to me so as not to hurt him, I'd rather people hurt me than me do that to them. A while ago I was talking to father Satan about him and it came into my head "he'll stop talking to you" and I don't know if I created that because at that time I was afraid he would stop talking to me or if it was really father Satan, but it seems he doesn't want to let go. Unfortunately I don't believe he wants a life with me and my family, even though he always asks me to move in with him (we were from the same country) because we're different ages. Maybe he's just playing with me.

You're making unnecessary drama, if you don't want to keep talking to him then just block him. It's really not that hard.

I think you need to let this person go and stop communicating with him if you really want to.

I recommend that you find another person, and not think about how bad it is for you to live with this person.
Relationship should work both ways, i.e. both people should want this relationship and develop this relationship, not just one.

When necessary, you need to remove people from your life without suspicion. This may be difficult for most people, but it is one of the easiest things to do.

If you are not romantically interested in him, let him know this, and he will probably move on by his own will. The problem here is that if you are not clear about this, then this also hurts him by wasting his time and feelings.

Furthermore, unless he is meditating and taking serious action, then the history of drug use and other negative actions is a red flag.

Make your intentions clear to him, what you expect from him and how this relationship will work.
It's literally impossible for you to keep holding on to a string without the slightest interest, whatever it may be (probably the most basic ones) can be met without any problems.
There's no need to lie to yourself about your real goals with him.
