Can I ask what you mean about the advice not working for you?
Because the general advice is going to involve working on your discipline. One dopamine reset day a week should be good enough for most people but if you feel like this isn't enough, then you can go for a couple days at a time or even weeks; but this is an extreme example.
Generally, I would also recommend focusing on cleaning and purifying your aura thoroughly on these days to assist you with the detoxification, but again, this is still general advice.
