Question #2358: my question which is haunting me since long times

lot of worst things happened to me before I found out something important with respect to my life ..Why did I find that important thing so very late and that too with such a painful suffering ..such sufferings were not even needed for my life ..I feel I am extremely unlucky ..Had i found out that important thing very earlier ,My life would have been far better and happy ..But why did all these bad things happen to me?

He didn't say that only the next life.

If a person is not able to reach the final levels of magnum opus then logically the positive effects will be lived through in the next life or lives.

And yes, it is possible to have better outcomes during this life. However, there are a few considerations related mainly to time. If the person going through something very horrible has very little time or does not do much with the time given then the outcome would be overall less beneficial during this lifetime. But no work is in vain as every step up the stairs is a step nonetheless and should not be viewed as futile.
