Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask what your thoughts are on Shamanism.
From my understanding, it's a religion that originates from varying indigenous people. Shamans are said to have made interactions and connections with nature spirits and acclaimed deities during the time.
This is a very profound question but it's one I ask because there is a grey area that blurs reality and truth surrounding it.
Were ancient indigenous people fellow pagans on Satan's side?
It's said that ayuhuasca was used as far back as 900 BC in Peru as an entheogen (spiritual drug).
This whole concept of entheogens is a huge mystery to me and I can't confidently state whether or not they were created by the enemy, but it would not surprise me in the least if they were. The spiritual use of psychoactive substances has only existed in a few tribes as opposed to the entire sum of our ancestors.
The idea of DMT and this crazy experience people have intrigues me because of it's mystery. I imagine it's much like 'The Gate' in Full Metal Alchemist, where you see the entire universe and know everything for an instant. I can't however see the insight people gain from it. (Such people must likely be hardcore NPCs).
In the past I tried mushrooms a few times and I had a happy and positive experience with brightened colours and changes in perspective and thinking, albeit with some negative side effects (sweating, stomach cramping). Generally though I'd experience subtle to no visuals. This was only a couple times out of dozen mind you; the rest were generally not positive.
In spite of my bad experience, I can't help but think about the ruthless war against drugs that followed the Beatles' big shift in 1965 which was marked (according to the band members) after having experiences with LSD. Still, the way this drug was controlled and used in undercover operations like MK-Ultra to brainwash people strikes me as nefarious. It creates an idea that either 1.) the government took something that can be potentially beneficial and weaponized it, or 2.) The government took a harmful substance and weaponized it.
Overall, I believe psilocyben and DMT both are not beneficial to me in any way. I tried DMT for the first time and had zero effects, even after a couple long hits. It could be that I'm no longer able to hallucinate, or perhaps Satan was looking out for me. I'm definitely staying away from it; the smell even made me think of reptilians for some reason as there's something ancient and familiar to it's earthy aroma.
Either way I'd encourage everyone to stay away from this stuff. I've heard that some in the psychonaut community believe DMT as a substance to have a consciousness, even after having consumed it.
I wonder if this drug is attached to a living entity that possesses you. If anyone is ever seeking something 'alien' or 'weird' I think that's about the greatest degree of those things there are in our experience here on earth, only there are risks and people even can become schizophrenic.
In another sense, I suppose 'psychonauts' who use these substances regularly are possessed but don't know it. It's a crazy world but I'm glad we have all the tools to build our own happiness and even explore other dimensions without drugs.
Sorry to rehash a topic that has probably been covered BTW. Drugs are not good and I'd say cannabis is possibly the most addictive drug there is in my experience.
I tried cocaine and crack a few times; zero withdrawals with some hangover-like side effects.
Hopefully I can kick the cannabis soon though as I keep relapsing into it. It is truly a drug that makes you feel better in every way yet it mimics being good for us (I beleve) due to flavonoids, such as myrcene, which create pleasant aromas. These same flavonoids can be found in all kinds of things like coffee, lemons, etc.
Anyway, thanks for your time everyone and hail Satan.
